The whole day is spent tanning and getting a mani-pedi with Aubri and the other bridesmaids.

Everyone meets for dinner and rehearsal on the beach. Everyone is barefoot, and you see Henry walking toward his seat next to you. You're in your seat, never lifting your eyes from your speech notes. FUCK, this man is so hot in his damn button-down shirt. His top 2 buttons are undone, he is holding a glass of brown liquor, and his lids are a bit low.

"I felt your embarrassment on the elevator," he stands next to you and pulls his chair out. No one else is at the table as everyone is socializing and getting drinks.

"Did I snore?" You look over at him with a worried look. Being this close to him, you can smell his cologne, the liquor on his breath, and cigar smoke.

"You slept on my shoulder most of the flight; your snores were small and adorable." He is smiling nicely and being way too nice.

You are horrified, "I'm so sorry. I'm going to go cry at the bar." You get up quickly, and he gets up, walking behind you.

"I'll join you."

"It's okay, I'm sorry." your sundress is flowing as you stop to turn and almost cry. "That's so embarrassing."

"Please, it's not a big deal; I knew who you were; Aubri told me to take care of you," He pulls a napkin from his pocket.

SHIT, she told him about my breakup with Ted last year. "Look, I'm not looking for sympathy; I just want a vacation and to see my best friend happy." A tear falls, and you turn and immediately walk as fast as possible to the bathroom.

Your face is red, and the anger rushing to your head makes the wine in your glass taste more bitter. The wine is hitting, and you're over the Ted bull shit. That doesn't mean Henry knows about it. Even if he does, who cares.

'I'm going to be hot and not care about what he thinks. I'm here to put on a show so my best friend can get married; she needs me to do the speech, and I'm here to look hot and enjoy this island.'

You let out a long breath and finish your drink, fixing your mascara and looking at your ass in the mirror. 'okay, this is easy, you love Aubri, you can do this.'

You strut out of the bathroom and see Henry waiting for you. "You look great, by the way," he walks with you to the bar.

You look over at him and down his open shirt at his chest, "same for you, thank you." You order a drink and head back to your table.

"I didn't mean to upset you earlier," he takes a shot with you; the alcohol hits you, and you laugh.

"Eh, you did nothing wrong. You're doing what you're told, Henry. There's nothing wrong with that."

He lets out a low hum, and the rehearsal begins—the wedding coordinator talks to everyone. The bridesmaids and groomsmen walk outside the wedding area to practice walking down the aisle. You can feel Henry's eyes on you as she talks to everyone. You look up from the coordinator to meet his eyes. They're dark as he takes the final sip of his drink. A waiter takes his glass and thanks them, never looking away from you.

The groom, the best man, and the groomsmen walk down the aisle. Henry, right next to the groom, listens to the coordinator, and as she walks back to the end of the hall, He stares back at you. All the bridesmaids walk in, listening to the coordinator. Finally, the maid of honor, the coordinator, goes over your role to check the bride's veil, train, and dress, and as you walk in. you walk down the aisle with empty hands and stand across from Henry, whos staring at you.

You give a light smile as the rehearsal continues. You finish the trial and run it a couple of times with a break. Henry offers you water between shots that you take together. You're drinking as you find yourself laughing at a joke he makes about helping Kristoffer pick out a tux.

"I never expected so many options; he's the least picky person I've ever known." He was making you laugh so genuinely.

"Oh god, I'm crying; he was probably so nervous; I could just imagine how hard it was." You take a sip of water as Henry complains about Kristoffer being the pickiest person over a tux.

"The wedding dresses were horrible," you rant about the dresses. "She almost had us wearing neon pink dresses; it was horrible."

"Oh god, neon, why." He scoffs, and the dinner is set out around us.

Immediately your stomach growls, "oh my god, I'm starving."  You stop laughing immediately. "I'll be sobering once I eat this whole bread basket. You grab a piece and tear it off. "This bread is so good," you whisper and close your eyes.

You tear off a piece and hold it up for Henry to take; he eats it from your hand, staring right at you, causing you to laugh immediately. "Stop being hot, goddammit just take the bread," you move the basket towards him.

"hmm, should I feed you next? It's only fair." He is smirking and is serious.
