what is a Grimoire/Book of shadows?

A grimoire is general knowledge a book holding information that all witches can use. 

A book of shadows (BOS) however is a shadow of its owner, detailing its owner's personal path, beliefs, spells, and rituals.

The book can be online, a fancy hardcover book, or simply an old notebook.

You don't have to have two books, just write down what you find important and want you like/think is cool.
