Personality is a lie, after all the whole concept that revolves around it is pretty subjective. Clever people play with their personalities just like a chameleon with its colors, while those who can't, will have a harder time in this judgmental society. The very concept of personality is pretty vague. One can act differently in front of others and differently when alone. That's why I said personality is a lie.
I'm Dave Warren, and finally I'm starting my college life in this new city which I moved to. To tell you the truth, I wanted to leave my old place, it just became a place that harbors some old memories that I should leave behind to get a fresh start.
Since I moved here, before getting a hostel I decided to crash at my big brother's place. And God damn, he's living a life of luxury. A flat all to himself and still demanding me to go to hostel, ain't that being rude. Well, maybe I'm the rude one for crashing here without telling anything before my arrival.
I did all i could to online to get into college and now I'm ready to finally attend it. This time i will be sure to enjoy it.
"Cab will be here in a few minutes, take your stuff and don't forget anything."
"Yeah yeah... i know Daren."
Since the college is so far from my brother's place, I'm taking a cab for now. I hope to find a hostel near the college. Living alone is something i always wanted and now I can finally achieve it.
This college is not much famous but I guess it gets the work done..like teaching and giving a degree. That's what I'm here for. But the first day had something else planned for me.
I'm here in college but now I'm just roaming around trying to find the class, good thing that i actually got here earlier than the actual timing.
"Excuse me, where is the class for 1st year ECE ?"
I asked one of the people who was just wandering around the college in a black uniform. From the looks of it he seems to be a guard of something.
"First year? Oh..go to room number 110 that's the one you are looking for."
"Thanks."
Good thing I asked someone rather than roaming around. And soon I found room number 102. Guess I should follow it till I find the room 110.
Luckily i got to the class and seats were open in the front. So I sat on the second bench from the left row. I don't know why but this college still uses black boards instead of white board and markers.
Finally, other students entered but it looks like they are coming in groups. I think that would be obvious because I'm joining 20 days late since the starting of the semester.
Just behind them, the professor came and opened his book. There are still a few students who are coming late but I guess these students can be found anywhere.
It's lunch break now, or I think it is as other students took their bags and started to leave and some went to the cafeteria, i followed them after I heard they were going to the college cafeteria. To be honest, I didn't understand a thing which the professors taught us today. God, looks like engineering is going to be tough.
I didn't get anything to eat from the cafeteria, and I'm just scrolling through my mobile for now. Soon enough the bell rang, it's time for the next lecture but as i entered the class, to my surprise there was no one there, so i decided to wait but even after half an hour no one came. I came to the door of the class and looked outside, and it seems like the whole college is empty. Maybe a sports period or something.
I saw a girl walking in the hallway so I called out to her and asked where the other students were but then she said something surprising.
"Wait..what are you doing here now, it's a half-working day dude. You should leave for your home now."
