Brynnleigh's P.O.V
"Lil bit wake up we've got a lot to do today and if were going to get everything done before the party tonight you have to get up" I could hear my friend Shannon yelling outside of my tent at me and I could already tell today was going to be bad
"In order for me to get up right now you better have some Aleve and a dr. pepper" I yelled back trying not to sound as bitchy as I felt
"Don't worry baby girl I got you covered you just got to get your lazy tail up and come get it from me" Shannon beamed
I sat up and unziped the tent and covered my eyes from the sun, damn was it abnormally bright today or was it just me, I put my hand out for her to hand it to me.
"lord have mercy child you look rough" she said handing me the medicine and my drink
"Shut your face, you think you can give me a piggy back ride to the showers please!" I begged as I downed the dr. pepper
"Okay, I will, get your stuff cause once your over there don't call me when you forgot your pants or something" she said laughing
I grabbed a bag of my stuff and put my sun glasses on to shield my ever so sensitive eyes and hopped on Shannon's back and headed towards the building where they had showers, I seen Jeremy and I ducked my head behind Shannon's head, Shannon was 5'7 so it was a bit easy for me to do that but he saw me anyways he just smiled and Mike busted out laughing at me.
"I see you're still lazy as always baby girl" Mike said in between laughs
I jumped down off of Shan's back, walked over to Mike and stood on the cooler in front of him.
"I might be lazy but I will kick your ass, and I didn't see you over at my tent volunteering to help to the shower now hush your face before shit gets real" I said trying to be serious and sound mean but failed when I started laughing
"You're hung over and still feisty as always and you never asked me to help you baby girl" Mike said hugging me
"Well it would've been nice ya know but that's okay Shannon's helping me" I said stepping off the cooler and sticking my tongue out like a toddler.
We finally made it to the showers and I quickly ran in and turned the hot water all the way up and got in and started singing, there was no one here so a little singing to pass the time. I got out and wrapped my towel around me and started to dry off, I walked over to the little part where they had dressing rooms and a guy walked in, I was still in my towel but I just ignored him and continued walking, once in the dressing room I started to get dress when I heard a door open and someone pin me up against the wall and cover my mouth.
"Scream and i'll cut your throat" a male voice said behind me
I tried to scream, but it didn't work so I fought, I punched him in the jaw and gut, I could see it knocked his breath out but not long enough for me to get away, he grabbed me harder this time and slammed my face into the wall and threw my towel off and started to hit me, I heard the door open behind us and someone threw the guy off of me and started beating him, I grabbed my towel and tried to get out of there but I saw blood everywhere and my knees began to buckle and fell out from under me and I felt my head hit the concrete, I heard 2 voices Mikes and Jeremy's but I couldn't see them, I could feel my body being lifted off the floor but it felt like I wasn't in my body, god damn it why did this shit always have to happen.
"Mike it hurts" I mumbled in between breaths
"I know baby girl, were taking you to the hospital, it's all going to be okay"
"No, i'm not going to the damn hospital just take me to my tent and give me some ice, i'm fine" I half yelled
"Nope you're going to get checked by a doctor"
"Damn it Mike" I pushed up off his arms with all my strength and landed perfectly on the ground and still had my towel around me
I turned to walk to my tent, when I heard mike trailing behind me.
"Stubborn as always, I guess i'll let you go back to the tent but your going to stay in my tent with me and Jer so I can make sure you're protected" Mike said after me and I stopped and turned to him and gave him a hug
"I love you bubba, I'll go stay with ya'll but can you at least go get some clothes for me so i'm not just in a towel" I said
"I'll give you one of my shirts and I'll go get your stuff and I love you too baby girl now go get in the tent I'll be back in a second don't you dare go anywhere" he said giving me a kiss on the cheek
"I'm half naked where do you suppose I'm gonna go" I said giggling
He just shook his head and laughed while walking towards my tent, I quickly slipped into his tent and found one of his shirts to put on when Jeremy walked in.
"Hey lil bit, I just came to check on you to see how you're feeling" Jeremy said
"I'm okay just got a major head ache I don't suppose you got any ibuprofen or something?"
"Yeah I got some in my bag, I'll go get you some water"
"Please get me a Dr.pepper no water" I said
"Okay sweetheart I'll be back in a sec" he said smiling at me and walking out the tent
A few minutes later he came back with a Dr.pepper and handed me the medicine, I quickly took it and laid down covering myself with mike's rebel flag blanket so none of my privates were showing.
"I'm gonna get some sleep, I'm over exhausted ya know because of all that's happened" I said
"Okay well I leave you be then" Jeremy said turning to walk out
"No, wait, Jeremy can you stay with me till I fall asleep please I don't want no one to just bust up in here while I'm sleeping'
"Sure thing" he said laying on his mat right next to me
"Can you sing?" I asked
"Its not the best but yeah I guess so"
"Can you sing to me please"
"Yeah" he said starting to sing Take Your Time By Sam Hunt
His voice sounded amazing, I closed my eyes and let his sweet southern country boy accent lull me to sleep, this boy had my heart pounding a million different ways and I liked it except I couldn't let my guard down and get my heart broken again, ain't no way in hell was I going to let that happen again.
