Chapter 21: THE UNKNOWN

Pugsley looked around, he saw nothing but darkness "Hello? Is a-anyone here?" he called out, Pugsley had no idea where he was, he looked around, he then heard someone else "Hello!" The unknown voice called out, the voice sounded familiar but Pugsley didn't question it, he was happy to know someone's here with him

He took a step, now realizing that he is not floating but on a invisible flooring, "I'm coming don't worry! Just keep shouting!" The familiar voice kept calling for Pugsley, Pugsley followed it, even he got closer the voice became more and more familiar, the sounds of his paws hitting the floor echoes through the unknown, what felt like it's been decades of running towards the voice

When Pugsley finally arrived to the person, he paused.... It was Fingers

"F-Fingers?! You're alive!?" Pugsley was shocked to see Fingers again, Fingers looked down at Pugsley, "Oh my goodness, Pugsley! You're alive!" Pugsley shocked expression turned into pure anger, "You bastard, you killed me!" "I know I did Pugsley....but I'm very sorry about it..." "Aw it's okay, I forgive you" "really?" "NO!" Pugsley shouted "do you think that I'll just forgive you? Just like that?! Of course not! Especially when you killed me you asshole! You gotta do a lot more than just say "I'm sorry! Wab wah wah!" In order to forgive you!" Pugsley said angrily

"You forced me to become something I didn't want to become!" "But-" Pugsley interrupted Fingers "And tell me that I have to kill my best friend, Barney! Out of all people in the whole world, it's Fricking Barney!" Fingers looked ashamed of himself "And then! You killed me! You knew what you were doing!" "Pugsley, I didn't-" Fingers tried speaking but Pugsley didn't want to hear it "and last but not least.... YOU TRAPPED ME IN THIS WEIRD WORLD! AND YOU DECIDED TO PUT YOURSELF IN HERE TOO! TO WHAT? MAKE ME ANGRY TILL THE END OFF TIME!!?!!" "PUGSLEY!" Fingers yelled "WHAT?!" Pugsley yelled back

Silence filled the room

"Do you think you yelling at me is gonna help anyone!? Do you think calling me an asshole is going to help you escape?! Do you think at ANY of this is going to help us both!?!" Pugsley paused.... realizing that Fingers is right.... being angry isn't going to help either of them, Pugsley took some time to calm down "You're right, Fingers...being angry isn't going to help...." Fingers looked at Pugsley with an expression of guilt "Hey...how about...I make it up to you!"Pugsley then looked at Fingers like he had 30 fingers "Make it up to me? We're a void!" "I'm going to help you escape this place!"

"Help me escape? How? We're in the middle of endless darkness!" Fingers thought for a moment "What if we..... worked together?"
Fingers suggested

"Work together? With you?! No! I'm not doing that! I rather be in a endless void for all eternity!" Pugsley sat down and turned his back at Fingers, ".....I guess you won't see Barney ever again-" Pugsley eyes widen "Oh my god, Barney! Okay I'll do it! But no evil business! Got it?" "I promise" Fingers pulled out his pinky finger, Pugsley, who is unsure, made the promise with Fingers, Pugsley didn't truly trust Fingers but he was the only one here, or so he thought....

"So what's the plan?" Fingers thought about it "Hmmm I'm thinking.... Maybe.... Hey what's that?" Pugsley turned around, it was a blue fire ball, "blue fire? Maybe it can help us!" Pugsley began running to it but stopped and turned to Fingers, "Fingers?" Fingers looked like he was hurting, even though He killed him, Pugsley couldn't help but feel bad, "A-Are you okay, Fings?" Pugsley asked, concerned "I'm fine.... My body is just burning a little....." "A-Alright.... Just tell me when it gets worse, okay?" Even though Fingers killed him, he still cared

Fingers nodded, they walked over to the Blue fire "Hey, umm do you know where we are?" Fingers asked, the blue fire looked at them, blinking "You're in between..." It said, sending chills down both of their spines, "between....?" Pugsley said, shaking, "Yes.... Between...." "Why?" Pugsley asked, "Because both of your lives are not over yet....I know the way out....."
