Liam was seated quietly fiddling with his hands
"Liam"
"Yes Niall...."
"I-" Niall took a deep "I don't want you staying here anymore"
Liam furrowed his brows "Where am I supposed to stay?"
"With me? Louis? Harry?" Niall stayed quiet for a moment then whispered "Zayn...."
Liam sighed "I can't just.... Do that, what if they don't want me there? What if I'm too much of a bother?"
"Don't be ridiculous"
Liam looked up.... Not really knowing if he's looking at whoever spoke
"You're here?"
"Yes."
Liam cringed and looked away "I can't. I don't want you to feel forced you don't want to do"

"It's your day with me Payno"
Liam frowned as the wrapping around his eyes was slowly being unwrapped
"Also, why do you need to have that on?"
"I'm a heavy sleeper, I move around a lot and in the beginning I accidentally- Wait which one of them are you?"
"That's offensive. I'd like to think my voice is distinctive"
Liam sighed "Louis"
Louis smiled "Oi Oii"
"Cmon"
"Louis-"
"Nope. You had a day with Niall, now I want one"
"I'm not a doll you share"
"Nobody ever said you were"
Liam huffed "Louis. Last time I was out with someone, someone died"
"That's why we want you to stay with one of us, but Nooooooooo. You decided to stay here"
Liam sighed "I had a lot of fun with Niall. I don't-"
"Shush. Cmon"

"Where are we going??"
"Stop asking questions. Just relax"
Liam sighed, Louis stopped driving then quickly got out of the car to help Liam
"Take your shoes off"
Liam blinked and slowly turned towards the direction where Louis' voice sounded
"Seriously? I don't know what type of shoes I'm even wearing"
Louis cringed and cleared his throat "Toe them off.... Your wearing Toms"
Liam nodded and toed his shoes off, a few steps later he gasped
He dug his toes into the sand and smiled
"Is the water straight ahead??"
"Liam-" Louis stopped and smiled "Yeah. It is"
Liam laughed out loud and ran into the water, the water reached upto his waist and Louis was quickly behind him
"IS THIS EVEN SAFE?!"
"NO, BUT I DON'T CARE."
Louis laughed putting his hands on Liam's elbow "Cmon Payno"
Liam shook his head, closing his eyes allowing the air to hit him in the face
"Just a few more minutes...."
Louis stayed quiet but didn't let Liam's elbow go
A bit later, they both slumped down against the sand and Louis slipped his sunglasses on as they sat at the direction of the sun
"Is it beautiful?" Liam whispered and Louis turned towards him
"Tell me what you want to know" Louis said and Liam stayed quiet for a moment
"How beautiful is the sunset?"
Liam turned towards the sky and looked at it "It's.... Orange and pink, there are more clouds than usual."
Liam hugged his knees tighter "It sounds...." Liam smiled "Perfect"
Louis chuckled and slipped his jacket off and threw it at Liam's face in a playful manner "Put this on, you're shivering like a dog"
Liam rolled his eyes as he slipped his hands into the jacket
"Still as playful as ever Louis"

It was sudden when it happened, they were laughing and sitting in the backyard of the care home
When gunshots were heard, everyone who was outside ran inside but Liam stayed outside
"Lou?!"
Louis took a deep breath and stood up "Cmon. We need to get you inside"

"I'm so sorry about not realising you were inside darling.... We should've checked"
Liam frowned, gripping Louis' jacket "Is everyone ok?"
It went quiet and Liam gritted his teeth before he took a deep breath "I don't want to be kept in more dark than the darkness that I'm already in. Who got hurt?"
"Forensic Detective Tomlinson.... He was injured"
Liam tensed "He.... Was?"
"Yes, but it's only a flesh wound"
Liam stayed quiet and he shrugged the jacket off
"Give this to him, will you?"

"Why would you tell him that?!"
"Liam doesn't like to be lied to. I'd rather to NOT be one of the few who treat him like he's an idiot"
Louis sighed and stood up, he walked towards Liam's door and knocked
He opened the door and smiled
"You alright in there"
Liam hummed sitting on a couch with his knees to his chest
Louis took a deep breath then walked towards Liam "It could've been a coincidence"
Liam dropped his arms and turned to Louis
"What are you wearing?"
Louis frowned "white shirt, blue pants, my jacket is also blue...."
Liam took a shaky breath "What colours an I wearing?"
Louis looked at Liam's clothes "Beige shirt and pants-" Louis stopped and tensed
Liam stayed quiet and covered his face "How dark is it out there?"
"The shot was fired in the second it was dark enough without the lights being on"
Liam sighed and Louis shook his head
"You aren't staying here anymore. I don't care how much you fight but you aren't staying here"
Liam dropped his head back "Who will I stay with Lou?"
