A very soft yet tender touch was extended to her apple cheeks, much to her surprise. Was it the moonlit night that makes every scene romantic, or was it the faint scent of his cologne that made her feel closer to him? Either way, she leaned on his broad shoulder. She had no choice but to seek refuge under his warmth, being the social outcast that she is. When he tilted his head to seal the promises with a kiss, she knew she was bound—not for a moment but for that split second that felt like an eternity.
