The room was dull. It was quiet. Just me and Mr. Evans here. I decided to break the silence "Why am I here? What happened?" I asked, looking at him with stern look. He then sighs and begins to tell me "around January 1, 2009, at 12:09 am, the police were called. So naturally they went to see what was going on. though, when they walked in the house.." he stopped talking. He looked upset, sad even. "What did they find?" I asked. He sighed sadly and continued "they found your mother and father; Mr. and Mrs. Washington's body dismembered." he says while looking me straight in the eyes. My heart stopped. There is no way my mom and dad are gone. Noway. Although my parents were dead..I felt nothing. Honestly,  was kind of happy they were gone, It's not like they did anything good for me. I let out a chuckle as he sighs. "So..why am I here?" I say crossing my arms "what do you want from me" he sighs softly "you're here because your aunt told us about you." I was confused. "What do you mean? What did she say?" He stays silent for a moment. "She told us about what you've been through living with your mother and father. She told us about the abuse, the sexual harassment you had while living with them and the emotional and verbal abuse you endured. You are here for us to help you overcome everything you've been through." By the time he was done, I felt like I walked into a trap again. "You are not alone here Ms. Washington. Trust me." he says, "bullshit," I say. "My mother and father said the same thing and look where I am now. A goddamn asylum." He sighs once again, "We are trying to help you. Please. Have faith in us". 'He seems desperate...I hate him,' "fine. Whatever" I say, looking deep into his eyes. He coughs awkwardly and says "Thank you for trusting us". I nod in response. "Well" he starts, "I think that's enough for today, don't you think?" he says walking to the door. I follow after him, keeping my guard up. "I'm cold," I say, u 6rubbing my arms together. He softly lets out a laugh and opens the door for me 'what's so funny?', "I'll walk you to your room so you could get some rest. I won't be here tomorrow, so I'll see you on Friday." We walked to my room in silence, but it was comfortable silence. We got to my room and I went inside. I sigh softly and make my way to my bed. 'I need to find a way out of this hell hole' I thought to myself, laying down and staring at the ceiling. It's so cold here. I went underneath the blanket they gave me and drifted off to sleep.  Before I could fully get some sleep, I was awoken by a loud banging sound causing me to jump and fall out of my bed. "Och. what the hell was that?'' I said out loud. I stood up and walked to the door to see what the noise was about but there was no one to be seen. Not a soul. I checked to see if my door was locked, but it wasn't. I smiled while opening the door and was met with a gory sight. There was blood everywhere. Bodies everywhere. It was like a massacre took place. Though I was surrounded by bodies, I felt nothing. If anything I was happy. 'I can finally leave this place...that was easy'. I began to walk down the corridor when I saw a woman on the floor, trying to stop herself from bleeding. She then locked eyes with me and yelled "please..help me. Please" I can see the begging in her eyes. I didn't move, I cocked my head and just stared at her, "why should I help you? What have you done for me to help you?" I asked, walking slowly. I noticed she was trying to pull out a knife from her abdomen, "please I'll get you out of here, just help me!!" She exclaimed. I stopped in front of her, crouched down, and pushed the knife deeper inside her abdomen "aren't you one of the people who put me in here in the first place? Why should I help the likes of you? Huh?" I asked her, snatching the knife out of her. She started to frantically try to cover the wound but unfortunately for her, I still had the knife in my hand. I smiled, pushed her down with my foot, and stabbed her, over and over and over again. When she finally gave up on her life, I stood up and looked at my hands, they were covered in blood. I thought nothing of it and continued to walk down the corridor. I walked for about 20 minutes before coming across the main area, where I saw a man about six foot seven, with long black hair standing over a body he had in his left hand and a machete in his right. He decapitates the body and drops it with the rest of the body by his foot. He turned to me and we locked eyes. I can't see his face with that mask over his face. We stare at each other for around five minutes before he begins to walk away. 'Who was that?' I thought, looking around at the dead bodies. Suddenly, he stops in front of the door and turns to me. We locked eyes again and I slowly walked over to him. I stopped in front of him, "who are you?" I asked, looking him up and down. He said nothing. All he did was stand there and look at me. He then puts his right hand up with the machete, I didn't move or flinch. He looked shocked. "Well, aren't you going to kill me? What's wrong?" I asked. By the way, he was looking at me, he looked confused. He slowly puts the machete down and just stares at me. I was about to say something when I heard police sirens coming from outside. Suddenly I felt him grab my arm and started to walk to the opposite side of the entrance. When we got outside, he led me to a rundown car. He let go and motioned me to get in the car. When the both of us got in the car and drove away. It was fifteen minutes of silence when we pulled into an old run down building. He parked the car in the garage and we both exited the car. I didn't say or do anything, so I just followed behind him. When we got inside, he walked to the living room and suddenly stopped walking, making me bump into his back. "Why am I here? What do you want from me?" I asked, motioning to the front of him, meeting him eye to eye. I was met with silence. I rolled my eyes "so, are you going to just stare at me, or are you going to say anything?" I asked once again. He continued to just stare at me. 'He's so annoying' "welp, I'm going to go look around. Stand here all you want" I say walking out of the room. As I looked around downstairs, I started to realize something. I'm in a house with a murderer, unarmed, and not having my guard up. As I continued to walk around with that thought in my head, I came across some stairs that lead to the top floor. Before I could step on the step, the man came out of nowhere and grabbed my arm, stopping me from proceeding up the stairs. He looked like he was distraught. I looked at him confused, 'he's weird' I thought to myself, trying to pray my way out of his grip. "Can you...can you like let me go? You're hurting me" I say harshly. He quickly lets me go, "thank you," I say, smoothing my arm from the harsh treatment. We lock eyes and stare at each other for about 5 minutes before he walks away silently. 'He's weird' I thought, walking away from the staircase. I walked into what looked like a bedroom. The floorboards creaked as I proceeded to walk inside. Other than the fact that there were spider webs and holes in the walls and floor, it looked, somewhat, liveable. I felt a presence behind me so I turned, and long and behold—it was the man that brought me here. "Oh. Is this your room?" I asked. He shakes his head 'no', he then points at me and then to the room. "Are you giving me this room?" I asked, while skeptical. He nods. 'Great, Now I have to stay with him. Well, it's better than being back in the hellhole.' The door closes, scaring the hell out of me. "I forgot he was in there. Well anyway." I started to walk around the room, trying to clean up a little bit.  After 20 minutes of cleaning, it looked somewhat nicer than before. I sat on the old bed and let out a long sigh. 'At least I'm out of that hell of a place I let out a soft sigh and began to fall asleep. By the time I woke up, it was morning. 'Now I'm hungry.' I got out of bed, got in the shower, err what looked like a shower, and made my way downstairs. I walked into the kitchen to see what was edible and when I opened the fridge, I was met with sadness. 'Goddamnit' I started to rummage in the kitchen for something...anything! And I found nothing. I let out a frustrated sigh and sat in the chair. I hear footsteps behind me "what the hell happened to your food? What do you eat?" I asked the mute giant. "I'm going out to get some food" 'good thing I stole that doctor's wallet' I walked to the door and put my shoes on. "Do you want to—" before I could finish my sentence, the giant man picked me up and carried me outside to the car "can I at least tie my damn shoes first?! Jeez". He sat me down next to the car, walked to the other side, and got in the driver's seat. I rolled my eyes, got in, and sat in silence. 20 or so minutes passed before I even said anything. "Can I at least know your name, or do you want me to continue to call you a giant?" I asked him, eager to know. He pulls into the parking lot of the grocery store and parks in the front. He then looks at me and lets out a grunt, and says in a deep and raspy voice "Ka'hale".  'Jeez, he sounds 30 in a 20 year olds body' I thought. The doors unlocked and he and I got out of the car. I took a shopping cart and we walked inside the grocery store. We spent about 30 to 40 minutes getting food and snacks. Finally, we made it to the line and waited. Suddenly, a white women walked up to us with a sour look on her face  "It isn't halloween, why are you dressed like that? You should know not to dress like that outside". She said pointing at me and Ka'hale. "Um, what's it to you anyways? We're making you look at us, if you hate the way we dress then maybe don't stare so damn hard" i said, with a scowl in my face. She scoffs and walks away from me and the silent giant. I rolled my eyes and continued to wait in line. When we finally got to check out, Ka'hale grabs the bags at once and we began to walk back to the car. I opened the trunk and put the groceries in, closed the door and got in the car. I turned to Ka'hale and he looked upset about the encounter, "I should've stabbed that bitch as soon as she said something" I sigh and we sat in silence once again on our way to go the house.
