Tawkerr's been hidden away, trying to figure out what exactly is the problem with his voice - is it because he's too loud? What does "can't figure out what to do with his vocal range" even mean? Is he too high? Too low? A mishmash of the two?
As he's tried to figure this out, he's noticed something - nobody came to look for him. The more he thinks about it, he realizes that everybody always asks Parlsona to sing, but never him. Is she just better?
Tawkerr decides to check something. Heading back out onto the main Island, he ducks around, making sure he isn't seen. He hears singing in the distance, and silently moves towards it. As he expected, Parlsona is singing without him.
He waits for her to finish the first chorus, hoping she'd notice his absence and go find him. But instead, there's a small pause, before she skips to the third verse. She didn't even care. For all she knew, Tawkerr was completely gone, and she wasn't even worried. Would she even notice if he just... disappeared?
...would anyone even notice?
A million different thoughts begin to run through his head. He thinks back to when he first sang with Parlsona - the monsters were scared of him. He didn't know what was wrong then, but he certainly does now. He's weird. Weirder than Parlsona - it's not that he can sing in English, it's that his voice is gross.
He's been trying to be helpful - trying his very hardest to earn the other monsters' trust. But he wasn't helpful enough. He wasn't likable enough.Everyone would prefer it if he was gone.
And so, he leaves. If nobody wants him, why would he stay?
