Kaeya always knew he wasn't going to live a long life. He thought that his death would've been because of a war probably involving Khaenri'ah and celestia.

...

It was raining on the day Master Crepus found him, and on the day his adoptive father Crepus breathed his last, it was also raining when he was disowned and almost killed by his brother, his platonic soulmate, who had promised to always be with him. It was raining when he got the cursed vision. A Cryo vision given to those who felt unlovable. It came with a pair of wings clipped as if to remind him that he would never truly be free. Its safe to say he didn't like the rain. He laughs but comes out sad. Yesterday was the 4 year anniversary of Master Crepus's death and his ex-brother's birthday. Kaeya's thougts tend to be a bit more dark these days. He was currently in his office finishing up a report. He looked outside, it was raining again. Ah- he could go for a good drink right about now. Too bad he still had paperwork to do.

time skipp--

It was late into the night when he finally finished. He walked into Jean's office knowing she was most likely in there overworking herself again. And sure enough, she was up working on a huge stack of papers. Kaeya handed in his report, "you need to stop working so much Master Jean, learn to live a little~" Jean looked up at him with a small smile, "I told you to just call me Jean, and these papers aren't going to take care of themselves you know?" Kaeya looked at the paperwork again. "I could care of them for you. Go out with Lisa, get a drink and relax a little" Jean dramatically gasped "wow Kaeya offering to do work for once? now that was unexpected." Kaeya laughed but he would be lying if he said it didn't hurt. He looked back at Jean, "shocking, I know right? But honestly, you need to take a break from all this paperwork and enjoy life before you get all old and wrinkly" They both laugh. "Ok if you insist I guess I could take a bit of a break. Thank you Kaeya"

...

It was always when he was alone that the thoughts bothered him. The feeling of his early death has been quite stronger lately. Meh, it was probably paranoia. He managed to finish the rest of the paper work in 2 hours. Looking up at the time, it was now 11 pm. Great Angel's share should probably still be open.
