"I can't die here! I need to survive! I want to see my family, I want to see my child, No!, this is not the end, I won't die in a place like this!" he kept telling himself, in reality, though that man didn't even have the strength to move his finger, let alone survive. He was no regular person, that man was strong, despite him being near death his gaze was still sharp, he was muscular but agile too, and he was blessed with a great physique and strength but even a man as great as him was desperately trying to cling to the last breaths of his life! what adversity did he face?
Around him were bodies all covered in blood, all had that same look, they didn't want to die in a place like that, all had the same expression of sadness and despair but most of all was the horror they saw that killed them. That horror, that thing, it was definitely not alive, it was also not dead, it also didn't have any mechanical nature to it, it was a creation that they hadn't encountered before, something that was still unheard of, something unknown born from the depths of the dungeon to serve only a single purpose, kill all those who dare to enter the shrine and disrespect the god. It didn't just kill them, it scared their souls to be ever born again. It wasn't a low-level dungeon, but an A-grade dungeon on the 29th floor, still that monster that killed them shouldn't even belong to this floor, according to those people that monster should be at least on level 50. Those people weren't weak in any sense, after all, they belonged to the party that set the record for clearing the last dungeon floor in the recorded time of 3 days and 14 hours. And each of them was at least a level 20 explorer and a level 36 fighter in different arts. Their main attack force, the mana users were at least level 25, and that man who was the only creature alive on the floor was a level 50 mana user, the highest in the group and one of the only 10 adventurers of the era to reach level 50.
As his life slowly progressed toward his death, he kept recalling the day, he left his home to explore the new floors of the dungeon, his wife was 3 months pregnant when he had to leave due to an imperial order but he was bound to the contract he was made to sign by the emperor. He wanted to curse the emperor and his superiors but could only curse himself as he was the one who was impatient enough to come to this floor, despite knowing that it had been almost 5 months since he left his wife, that greed to find the treasure that was supposed to buried somewhere on this floor and getting recognized as the top talent, far superior to his superiors as well as his colleagues, he cursed himself and kept apologizing to his unborn child for not being there when he will be born and to his wife who left everything to be with him when he had nothing and for not being able to give her the life she left for him, for not being able to give her back her honor she lost just for loving him and most of all he apologized to her for not being there for her when she needs him the most, he kept apologizing and cursing himself. He was desperately clinging to that last straw of his life, desperately trying to protect those last embers of the fire of his life in the windy snowy night of death, finally, as he breathe his last, as a last desperate act, with all his might he shouted " God! if you exist, I beg you, give me the strength to go back to my wife, give me the strength to apologize to her !! Oh !! god if you exist give me the strength to kill that thing that brought me to this sorry state."
As soon as his sound echoed in the chambers of the floor, that monster, that creature rushed at him at his full speed, again as if that man antagonized that creature by disrespecting the god that it served by trying to breathe the same air that surrounds the shrine !!!!!!!!
The man saw that monster rushing towards him, there was not a speck of fear now in his eyes, they were determined to blow himself and that monster together, as he concentrated his life force and surrounding mana together in a single spherical shape but as that monster's claw-like hands reached that man in an effort to rip him apart, a shield formed around that man and except him, everything came to a pause, he felt a warm embrace, a sense of tranquility arisen in him and he heard a voice :
