-FLASHBACK-
They walked into the new home, setting down a box labled 'clothes'. Their headphones were in, 'Black Sheep' from the Scott Pilgrim movie was blasting in their ears. Y/N just moved in to their new house and they were so excited to have their own place away from their parents. They half-danced half-walked over to a box that said 'decorations' and opened it.
They pulled a cool lamp that had a stained glass shade over it. They set it on a small side table and reached back into the box. They set assorted nick-nacks on the shelves and hung up some fake vines on the ceiling. Their favorite part was the hand chair and they did a little dance when the moving guys set the box down.
Y/N rushed over to unbox it as someone peeked their head into the front door. "Hi there new neighbor!" the person chirped. They didn't hear them and continued to unbox the chair. Suddenly a hand was on their shoulder and they jumped. Whipping their head around they saw a purple haired woman and a kid beside her, both waving.
"I'm Lila, this is Skid! We're your new neighbors!"
-Current Time | Y/N's perspective-
The intruder stood over you, practically engulfing you in his massive shadow.
"Your blood is so sweet."
You were still trying to catch you breath after you had slammed against the wall, gripping your sides. You were practically huddled into the wall, shaking out of fear (very obviously) "I wonder if every part of you tastes as sweet.." He said, breaking the silence. "Maybe I'll have to see.."
His smile widened, and he reached down to grab your wrist again. You tried to crawl away, tears welling up in your eyes. "I-if you want... cough... sweets, there's so-some in the pantry.." You mumbled, trying to get his attention off you.
"Oh really?" He turned and opened all of your drawers and cabinets until he found the small bag of leftover candy. He opened the bag and chucked a couple pieces into his mouth, he didn't even bother to take off the wrappers. You took this chance to get out of the house and you quickly snuck out of the front door.
Finally getting your breath back, you immediately headed towards downtown. "What the fuck is happening!" You thought out loud. You came upon the festive lights of the downtown area, Halloween decorations everywhere, but not a soul in sight. You searched the streets for open shops, though you were unlucky enough not to find any.
You decided to hide in a small alley behind a trash bin. You pulled your knees up to your chest and laid your head on them, sobbing quietly. You lifted your head up to see that snow was falling to the ground.
You forgot the danger you were in for a moment and took in the crisp air and beautiful night. Suddenly, a candy wrapper rolled in front of your feet from the entrance of the alley. You peeked your head out from behind the bin and saw the familiar silhouette of a devil. This time you heard the scrape of metal against metal.
"You can't hide lambchop." he whispered. You huddled up into a ball, trying to make yourself invisible as you heard his footsteps echoing in the small space. 'SHIT SHIT SHIT!' you rocked back and forth, your mind racing.
"Found ya." you heard a voice coming from the other side of you. You whipped your head around and spotted him, still bearing that unsettling smile. "Boo." he began to chuckle and grabbed you by your hair. He pulled you out of the alley and into a for lease building. "Can't be butchering ya out in the street. Bad manners."
'REALLY? BAD MANNERS!? Murdering me is BAD MANNERS!' you thought to yourself. You looked at him and scooted back. "Who are you..?" you mumbled "Why are you trying to kill me?" The man began to laugh again "That's for me to know and for you not to find out." He began to sharpen his knife again while he stalked towards you.
