The rawness of Michonne's confession about her son seemed to uplift Carl's mood. Not completely but it was enough to get him to start talking again. There was a part of his heart, a deep part, that seemed to be at peace with losing his sister. He wasn't a religious boy. Not really, anyway. How could someone be religious in a world like this? But Carl wanted to believe Judith was being taken care of and if Mia's family anything like her, she was in good hands. He only hoped to one day repay the favor to her.

Mia's bag of goods was slung over her shoulder. She was eating a snicker's bar that she found in the house. She glanced to her right, Carl being by her side, and she handed out the bar.

Carl looked between her and the candy. He shook his head. "No, that's okay. It's yours."

She titled her head. "C'mon, sharing is caring." She recited.

He cracked a smile and took the bar from her. "Thanks."

"Got more where that came from." She said and patted her bag.

By the time they saw the house, Mia's body was begging for a nap. She amount of sleep she was getting didn't seem to be enough. She'd been sleep deprived for so long living in those woods. Rick came running towards them with his gun. "Go! Go!" He shouted at them in a whisper.

Carl quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her away, not giving her time to think. They began running in the opposite direction.

All of the running and the hiding drained her. Mia longed to get to a point in her life where she could make her father proud. Proud of living for him. Riley Jones wanted to keep his children as innocent as possible but even he couldn't know what the world was going to turn out like. It was inevitable that one day, that innocence would be washed away. Mia wasn't the same girl she was three years ago when she was still living in Texas. She was a killer. A sinner. In a world full of sinners, how do you find it in your heart to forgive yourself?

They stopped running. Mia's feet dragged along the train tracks. Carl remained by her side. Her eyes were ringed red from exhaustion. There wasn't a person in sight. It was dead silent.

Carl reached into his bag and pulled out the can of spray cheese. "Crazy Cheese?"

Michonne smiled cheekily. Mia couldn't help but laugh. "You're such a dork."

He bumped his shoulder with hers and smiled,  causing her to laugh and bump him back.

The group of four slowed down their steps when they came across an abandoned train cart. Mia scanned it carefully and read the banner that was tied to it.

Sanctuary for all:  Community for all
THOSE WHO ARRIVE,  SURVIVE

A map was placed under the banner and the words Terminus were written in black, the spot circled. Michonne glanced at Rick. What do you think?"
