Everyone thinks that I am some ordinary 11 year old girl. I mean right, isn't that what everyone thinks that all I care about is hair, makeup, and how I dress. Sure, I care about how I look, and I try to dress nicely, but take my word on this, there is so much more to me than typical problems. I am Hazel Brown and I can see into the future. There's also something else I should probably let you guys all know, that I can't feel warm. I can only feel the cold. I dont know how this is possible but I have never told anyone this secret... Ever.
Chapter 2
So you are probably wondering how I found out about my little secret. Well, I will explain everything. It all started on the beautiful day of November 10th. It was unusually gorgeous that day for the middle of the Fall. It was about 65° and not a cloud in the sky. The air was cool and crisp and the leaves were a beautifully painted picture on the branches of the trees. I woke up and began to recall a dream that I had the night before. It all began at fourth period when I was sitting at the back of the classroom during Science class. "He" was looking forward toward the stack of quizzes that has been handed in. He got out of his seat and handed in his paper. I loved the way he walked. There was just something about him that was so different from everyone else. He was... genuine and real and wholesome. My teacher snapped me out of my daydreams and said, "Hazel, are you finished with your quiz?" I just nodded because I didn't feel like talking at all. I walked to the table and handed in my quiz. I sat back down in my seat and went back to my daydream. Soon, I was woken yet again by a warm touch on my shoulder and I noticed that "he" wasn't at his desk. I was then disturbed by a loud ring of a bell. Followed by a "hello" from Lacey. Lacey McKenna is my best friend. We've known each other for about... Well forever! Our parents have been best friends since college and as soon we were born, our moms both made us meet each other. Oh yeah and get this; we have the same birthday too! We were both born on May 7th. Anyway, she walked with me to our next class which was Spanish. I didn't like Spanish Class at all. Mostly because "he" wasn't in that class but I found it boring anyway. I was taken away from my thoughts for the THIRD time that day when I fell and dropped my books all over the floor. I was hoping that he would magically appear out of nowhere but, he didn't. He was long gone to English where I wasn't going with him.
