I hate your hug.
Your warmth tells me that I am safe.
Reminding me that everything will be okay. That I am in safe hands.
You made sure that it was okay.
You hugged me with so much love and comfort.
When my dog died, you hugged me.
Your hug was so much comfort. Telling me that you are here. And you were.
You promised that whatever happens, you will always be there for me.
Your hug became my therapy.
Your hug became my safe place.
But when I needed you the most? Where were you?
--
I hated you for breaking your promise.
You're a liar.
