Mike awoke a bit later than usual today. Incredibly weary of what came about yesterday. It almost feels like a dream. He wouldn't know he had a guest if it weren't for the blanket that covers him now. He looked for Ann on his bed as soon as he got off the couch he had been sleeping on, but she was nowhere to be found.

She must have left again..

"How could she just leave without a word? Maybe she really doesn't like me." he said, feeling sad of how things turn to be.

It really feels strange but he wants to be friends with Ann badly. Maybe because she gave her his first touch after the treatment. She just unconsciously makes him feel alive.

Maybe I should just give up and leave her alone..

Disappointed, he fixed up the bed before going to the bathroom to fixed himself a bit. He's not planning on going out anyway. He'll better lock himself up and try to make a work bit by bit. But if so, would the vacation still mean anything?

He become frustrated of what he's going to do. Ann keep on messing his mind up.

What a shame? Am I this out of touch?

He was hungry and hankering after a cup of coffee after fixing. He made the decision to leave his room, and as soon as he opened the door, the aroma of freshly made coffee and breakfast welcomed him with warmth. He heads straight to the kitchen to check it out, where he recognizes the figure of a woman.

The woman turn around to see Mike and smiled to him. Mike smiled back and she motioned him to sit on a chair, "Help yourself."

"Wow, you cooked all of this?" he asked while looking around the table.

"Sure did." she said carrying a pan of fried rice transferring it to a white bowl.

"How?" he asked again. He's sure he didn't had groceries for a meal like this. what he bought was some instant and processed food that he think is handy. He doesn't even know how to cook so buying this stuffs while he's alone is not really a good idea.

"Well, I really want to thank you for all the troubles, so I bought some and cooked this."

Mike felt a strange feeling of happiness hearing and seeing how Ann appreciates his gestures. "You're welcome. 'Though, you shouldn't have did this. Anyone who would see you in that state would probably help" he said and smiled.

"I don't think so," Ann replied. "Anyway, what are we waiting for? The food's getting cold, let's dig in!"

Then they eat together, not speaking. Mike was busy tasting everything, and he thought it all tasted great. He eats everything that he doesn't seem to have eaten in a long time. He was unaffected by Ann's constant laughter at his expense. It's incredibly tasty.

"Are you starving yourself?" asked Ann after laughing.
