{Miya} - she carries you to bed

It was only halfway into the movie when Miya stared down at her chest, where you rested your head, and noticed that you'd fallen asleep.

She chuckled and brushed her fingers through your hair before laying a lingering kiss on your forehead.

It was supposed to be your date night in. It was simple; just takeout from a place in town that you both love so much and movies with some much-needed cuddles.

It's only the second movie of the night that you're watching.

It's a little after ten o'clock and you're supposed to watch one last movie before you planned on calling it a night and go up to bed.

But you were so cozy and warm in Miya's warm arms that were wrapped around you and the beat of her heart in your ear as you kept your head on her chest.

Miya couldn't blame you or be upset with you.

You've both had long, busy weeks.

She's tired too but she's pushed through it to spend some time with you.

However, she's not mad that you felt too mentally and physically exhausted to do the same.

She debated on staying curled up on the sofa for the rest of the movie before going up to bed so she wouldn't risk waking you but, ultimately, she decided that going up to bed would be best.

You need sleep, both of you, and you deserve to catch up on sleep in the comfort of your bed.

Besides, Miya is tired too and she figured cuddling up in bed until she fell asleep too sounded best.

She gently lifted your head from her chest and put it back against the sofa.

She slowly and carefully scooted toward the edge of the sofa before standing up.

She looked over at you, finding that you looked too sweet to disturb.

So, instead of waking you to get you to stand up and walk up the stairs to the bedroom, she put her arms around you and lifted you from the sofa before carrying you to the stairs.

Although you stirred in her arms as she climbed the stairs, you didn't wake up.

You kept your face buried in her neck and smiled in your sleep, the feeling making Miya's heart flutter.

It wasn't until she laid you down in bed that you woke up.

Your eyes opened as she brushed her fingers through your hair.

Your tired eyes met hers and you watched them light up, a smile tugging at her lips.

"Hi, baby."

You mumbled the words back to her as you closed your eyes when her lips hit yours for a short but sweet kiss.

"You carried me to bed?"

"Yeah. You fell asleep on me and I thought you should come up to bed." She explained, stroking your cheek.

"You should've woken me. We could've finished the movie." You pouted, only for it to turn into a small smile as she kissed it away.

"We'll finish it a different night. We're both exhausted. Just get some sleep for now."

You sighed, agreeing to do so.

"Fine. But you have to cuddle me." You said, patting her side of the bed.

"Happily." She smiled and climbed under the covers with you.

You put your head back on her chest and stared into her eyes, your heart skipping a beat as she leaned down to kiss your lips.

She brushed her thumb along your cheek and below your lips, pecking them a few times before she fully pulled back.

"I love you so much." She said, kissing your face. "Have sweet dreams, darling."

"You too, babe," you said as you drifted off to sleep in her arms.
