On a cold, rainy day, Denice got a phone call. It was her father saying that her mother had just died from cancer. Denice's mother had gone through chemotherapy treatments before, and it went away. Later, her cancer had came back. Denice was in school at the time and she ran into the bathroom, tears dripping down her face. She looked into the mirror and decided to go down to the office and asked if she could call her father. Her father responded saying that he would come pick her up from school.
