She watched him waiting for him to start talking.

He sipped his drink pretty casually for someone whose wanted by his own father.

"Well, I'm not sure how best to explain it. My dad killed your mom which caused a war between our families. But, Honestly? My dad has been an asshole my entire life. He had a facade he used around your dad to please him. But as a boss? He is harsh and ruthless and he goes after the younger broken youth convincing them they would have a better life if they worked for him. They find out the hard way it isnt true because he doesn't care who dies as long as it isnt him. I've had to help younger members sneak out of the gang and start over because of how bad it gets. I don't trust him, I technically 'betrayed' him by going against him and when he found out he put a bounty over my head. Hence him going to your dad, Hes gonna play him to try and take over he wants to kill your dad and steal his job and use his members to kill me and everyone else that goes against him" Ryder explains his expression getting serious and a little dark as he taps his finger against the glass in his hand.

Amira looks at Ryder unsure if she believes anything he just said.. But he looked like he was genuinely telling the truth. And if he was? It meant her dad was in serious danger and she wasn't sure if he actually knew that.

"If what you are saying is true? Then I need to warn my dad before he gets caught off guard" Amira says standing quickly and heading for the door.

Ryder bolts up and grabs her wrist to stop her, his grip isnt tight or painful at all. Just enough to make her pause in place.

"He knows already Amira. I warned him before I came looking for you. He wasn't hiding you from me, But the men who had found and followed me to that club. My fathers workers. You didnt notice them, but the twins did. I did. So that night your dad got two phone calls. One from them and one from me. My dad isn't after them, You are leverage to him and he wants me dead. I didnt bring you here to kidnap you its because its safe and nobody knows where it is" He states giving her yet another serious look.

"Aren't they in danger if your dad finds them?!" She snaps worried about them too.

"No, He isnt gonna find them. I threw my dad off the trail because they followed me and I lead them around before I came here hence why it took so long. I wasnt gonna lead them to you nor them Amira." He assures and slowly lets go of her wrist.

She makes a face with a heavy sigh.

"I'm tired of being on the outside of all of this. Its about time someone actually tells me in depth what is going on and if you expect me to stay here then its gonna be you who tells me" She states in a stubborn manner.

He chuckles a bit and nods.

"Alright Mafia Princess, Chill. Ill answer your questions ok? Just sit so we can talk more." He says before moving back to where he was sitting before.

She Huffs and moves back to the chair she picked and looks at him.

"I wanna know everything. From the beginning" she states crossing her arms.

He smiles weakly and adjusts for comfort knowing this is going to be a really long story to tell.

"Okay" He replies..
