Aurelia's P.O.V

I really really really don't like training, it's super boring and pointless, plus I already know how fight!
"Aurelia, you need to focus!" I hear Ava tell me as she puts her training sword down.
"What are you thinking about?" The brunette inquiries about my lack of focus on the training.
"Cyra said new kids are coming today.." I mumble looking down at the ground (cyra is a guard in charge of bringing new girls)
"Oh, yea I think I remember her saying something like that," Lilith says putting her book down under the tree she was sitting against and walks over to join us, giving me a hug
"I know you hate when new kids come but it's just a part of life here, unfortunately" Lilith tells me while Ava nods sympathetically
"I know," I tell her "but that doesn't mean I have to like it" I say defensively.
"None of us like it Aurelia," Ava assures me, grabbing my hand and pulling me to sit under the tree.
"How about Lili reads for you, seeing as your having a hard time focusing on the training and your going to hurt yourself," Ava says while Lilith rolls her eyes but sits next to me and grabs her book.
"Sure..." I agree. 'Maybe it will take my mind off things,' I think to myself
"Alright then," Lilith tells me while picking up her book and starting again from the beginning, this time reading out loud.

Two Days Later, Willow's P.O.V

I bite my lip, trying not to cry or show my immense fear as one of the guards holds my arms in a restraining position while another punches Rosie's stomach. The last thing I remember is comforting Rosie in the orphanage after she had a nightmare before someone grabbed us and the other kids the the girls bedroom knocking the back of our heads against the wall so we blacked out. A few hours later I woke up here with Rosie, She had started crying and asking a guard where we were but the guard starting punching her and telling her not to cry or ask questions I tried to stop the guard but another one grabbed my arms and restrained me, so I could only watch in horror as the guard punched Rosie.
I quickly checked Rosie for bruises before sitting down and indicating for her to calm down and copy my breathing, once her tears had stopped and her breathing had returned to normal she said in a shaky voice,
    "W-willow im s-scared!"
"I know but you have to be brave, okay? I don't want you to get hurt." I tell her softly.
"I-ll try," she stutters, before falling asleep on my shoulder. 'Really Rosie?' I think to myself and sigh. Im wondering what I should do as an older girl with long black hair that has pale blue streak in it, Who looks about 14 or 15 approaches me an smile a little bit,
"Hello, I'm Lilith," she introduces herself with a cheerful but slightly sad tone.
"Willow." I reply quietly in an unfriendly tone once I realize she's waiting for my to introduce myself,
"This is Rosie." I say gesturing to the sleeping girl who I'm trying not to wake as I stand up.
"Let me help you," the girl, Lilith, says while she try's to pick up Rosie so I can get up from the floor are I had been comforting my friend.
"NO, DONT TOUCH US" I scream loudly while forcing myself up as I kick Lilith in the stomach and turn around quickly dragging Rosie, who by this point has woken up, with me.
"Willow? What's wrong?" Rosie asks sleepily as i drag her away from Lilith, into the corner of the crowded room.
"Nothing, don't worry about it." I tell her in an annoyed voice.
"But you started screaming-" Rosie starts but I cut her off by placing my hand over her mouth.
"I said don't worry about it, just go back to sleep." I tell her quietly as I turn around because a different girl who looks about the same age as Lilith but this girl has dark blonde hair that falls just below her shoulders.
"Hey you don't need to be scared, Lilith was just trying to help," the girl says in a soft tone, approaching slowly.
    "I don't care, I don't need any help!" I say defensively.
"Calm down, I won't hurt you. My name is Aurelia," the girl says.
"I can show you where you and your friend can sleep, if you want." Aurelia says softly. I don't need any help but Rosie looks very tired so I nod and tell her my name and Rosie's name.
"Alright, Follow me!" Aurelia tells excitedly me leading us towards an empty bunk bed.
"You can sleep here, You can find me or Lilith in the morning if you have questions!" Aurelia says cheerfully before skipping away in the direction of her own bunk.

***

For the first time sense we arrived here, wherever here is, I have time to think. I acted brave for Rosie, but I'm actually really scared. There's a lot I've never told Rosie, such as before I arrived at the orphanage when I was 7 I was trained to be an extremely skilled fighter that's where my extreme fear of strangers and storms came from. I'm scared that I won't be able to protect Rosie, she can't fight for her life.
