"What are you deaf or just stupid?"

ʀɪɴɢ!

The last bell of the day went off. You had your last 2 classes with Scaramouche, you and him were the last ones out of the class. Before you left, he gave you a piece of paper with a phone number on it. You looked at him and smiled, you swear you saw a slight smirk tugged at his face too. He turned around and walked out the door, you did the same.

You make your way to your locker and put your books in there. You grabbed your bag and closed your locker, putting the lock back on it. Down the hall you saw Mona and Fishle waiting for you. You hurried down to them and made your way outside.

"Why do you take so long to get out of your class?" Mona complained.

"I get caught up with people, you know how full my last class is. So I like to be the last one out if I can be." Lies came out of your mouth, but could they really tell?

"Hmm..alright." She would respond, opening the door to outside. "I'll see you girls later tomorrow. Bye bye then." She waved at you and Fishle, then turn around and leave with her mother.

"I have to leave too, see you tomorrow Y/n" Fishle said goodbye and you did too and she left.

You however, had to walk home. It wasn't too far, but it was enough to make you even more exhausted once you got home.

"Shit..I forgot my umbrella.." Just what you needed, walking home in the rain with no umbrella. You would be drenched in water once you get to your house. You groaned as you dragged your hands down your face. You heard a slight laugh behind you, so you looked back just to see the young and handsome man. Scaramouche, just the perfect timing.

"Well well, looks like someone forgot their umbrella." He had a Chester the cat like look on his face.

"Woah, how did you know?" You'd say in a sarcastic tone.

"You speak too loud." He'd reply. "Anyway, here use mine. But don't ruin it." He would hold it out waiting for you to grab it.

"Wait, what?" You were somewhat surprised, he didn't just leave you hanging. But offered his umbrella.

"What are you deaf or just stupid? I said use mine, or I'll just take it back."

"Well that's a bit rude." you would respond, before he took his umbrella away, you took it.

He had that same look on his face. It almost gave you chills down your spine but also gave you a different emotion.

"Thank you." You smiled and looked at him.

"No need to thank me, I see little point in it." He'd shrug and start walking off, "Don't forget to add my number to your phone."

"Oh I won't." You said as you started your walk back home.

You finally got home, but it wasn't what you wanted to come home to. Your parents were fighting in the kitchen, so you took your shoes off and headed towards your room. That was until your dad started yelling at you.

"Get over here you fucking kid! You don't go off to your room without saying shit to us!"

"Shut the hell up! She isn't doing shit to you now is she?! Let her be!" Your mother would try to defend you. She was such a nice person, trapped in such a harsh environment. All this to keep you out of any trouble or harm.

You would start speed walking up the stairs to your room and drop your stuff next to your bed. But instead of staying inside your room like you'd usually do, you went back down a couple steps and sat there. After all, you didn't want the same incident to happen again.

This was your life. When your parents would fight, you would stay up just to be sure your mother wouldn't get hurt. Not after what happened last time. You told yourself you wouldn't let that happen again.

After a while, your dad would just leave the house. It was obvious he wouldn't be home for the rest of the night like he usually would. So you would go back upstairs and into your room. Finally able to relax after waiting for your dad to leave for almost two hours and thirty minutes.

Though School might've been a place where you have little time to relax. It helps you escape this hell hole. You haven't been able to find peace with this house since you were born. You loved your mother dearly, yet she lives in such a harsh place with him. And the sad part is, she's doing it until you move out. She doesn't want to leave you, but she also doesn't have enough money to go out and buy a new home. All her family cut her out. She'd feel terrible for kicking someone out of the house. So she stays.

You would stare at the ceiling and watch the fan for a little while. After about 30 minutes, you would grab your phone and your book bag. You would dig in the bag and grab the white slip with Scaramouche's number on it. Finally, you put his contact on your phone and texted him.

Scaramouche

Y/N:
Hey, this is Y/n. Is this Scaramouche?

SCARAMOUCHE:
Y/n? Don't know anyone named that.

Y/N:
Ok come on, stop being a jerk. If anyone is going to talk about names, it should be me
talking about yours.

SCARAMOUCHE:
Ok ok, not too hard on my name. It wasn't my decision. I didn't name myself.

Y/N:
Then I think that's a good thing.

SCARAMOUCHE:
Whatever you say.

Y/N:
Ok, well I've gotta do my homework. Goodnight and I guess I'll see you tomorrow at school.

SCARAMOUCHE:
Night.

You shut your phone off and put it beside you on the bed. Then you grab your folder out of your bag and start to work on your homework. A smile crept up on your face as you had an unexpected thought of him.

Oh my goodness I am so sorry for not posting. It's been months and I've been stuck on writers block and school work. Thankfully this is the last week of school for my grade. Now I will actually try to post tomorrow or if not on the weekend. If you can you can suggest ideas to me! Sorry for this being a short chapter, but thank you for reading!
