Lisa started the motor and was about to pull out of the garage when the passenger door of her car opened.
"You didn't honestly think about leaving without me?" Jennie asked in an almost snappy manner.
Before Lisa could answer, Jennie had already dropped into the passenger seat and was now making a call to her assistant to reschedule all her meetings for today. Lisa sighed and started driving because there was no sense in trying to argue here anyway.

Only fifteen minutes later they arrived at the police station and Lisa instantly got out of the car. She was about to hurry inside when she remembered that she still had Jennie with her, who had been completely silent the whole time.
They walked inside, Lisa strolling ahead as if she owned the place. A move Jennie had not seen on her before and if she wasn't so distracted by the actual problem they were facing, she definitely would've gotten weak in the knees from the sight.
"Hi, Lisa Manoban, I'm looking for Detective Irene? She's expecting me," she said to the woman at the front desk.
"Is she with you?" the woman asked and pointed at Jennie.
"Yes, Jennie Kim, the victim so she needs clearance as well."
The woman nodded and typed something into her computer. It only took a few seconds until she handed them both visitor IDs and pointed them towards the elevator.
"Are you okay?" Lisa asked once the doors of the elevator had closed and they were alone. Suddenly, her defensive armour had dropped and she looked worried.
Jennie started to nod but then stopped herself and thought for a second. "Actually, no. I'm as far from okay as I could possibly be."
She looked up to see the blonde looking at her with soft eyes and she hated that a few hours ago she would've done anything for Lisa to look at her like that. Now it mostly seemed like pity and that was the last thing she wanted.
"Did you tell Bennie or Jinyoung that you took me here?" she asked to change the topic.
"No, because I didn't even plan to bring you here. You could've told them that you left."
Jennie just shrugged nonchalantly, "We'll see how long it takes them to notice that I'm gone."
And Lisa knew this was a serious situation but she couldn't help but let out a small laughter which resulted in a small grin spreading on Jennie's face.
The elevator doors opened again and they were greeted by a woman with a serious expression on her face.
"Hey Irene, thanks again for calling," Lisa said before she introduced her to Jennie. There was not much time for formalities.
"We're almost ready to start, you can go in," she told them and pointed at a door to their left.
Lisa and Jennie found themselves in a small dark room with a two-way mirror. On the other side of it sat an extremely nervous Momo.
Jennie's face instantly hardened at seeing the babysitter again and Lisa had the strong urge to take her hand and tell her that everything would be okay.
Only moments later Irene stepped into the room and sat down at the opposite side of the table. She opened her file and skipped through a few pages before looking directly at the other woman.
"So why are you trying to kill Jennie Kim?"
"What? Why? No!" Momo jumped a little.
"We have reason to believe that you left a letter containing a toxin for Miss Kim in her house."
