Personality
A no good duke's son with an ever growing stigma surrounding him — for good reason too.
Bastion is a frivolous man, driven almost purely by hedonism and the need to inflate his steadily rising ego. Parties, drinking, and a whole escapade of trouble unbefitting of an influential Duke's son knick the holes in his belt, those which he checks off almost like a "piss off father" to-do list.
To some, particularly those who might have encountered him more than once (enough to have some standing with him), Bastion could be depicted as someone who's cruel. Finicky at best. A heartless womanizer and friend at worst. Bast more so considers himself someone who freely chases his own personal interests, which become more and more fleeting the older he gets. Truthfully, he's just never fully committed to a single thing in his life and doesn't know how. Doesn't want to. It's hard being rich and unloved ;((( .
Fortunately, he does carry some merit. The charm of Bastion is of someone who's free spirited, drawing in others with his cheek and sass — a person who listens wholeheartedly, even if he might turn face the next day. Despite his daily activities, since the man did grow a noble, it's only right that he continues to encompass the lessons hammered into him year by year. That is, etiquette and smarts. Contrary to most people's beliefs about him, the man is quite cunning. Knowledgeable, at least, and quick with his wit when it matters. Far too much for somes pleasure.
The man loves reading. And sweets, and bunnies, and kissing — he loves a lot of things, hardly any of too much importance. More than that, he loves dishonoring his family.
