Summary:
Jisung’s mind was beautiful, a havoc at times.
Today was one of those days where his thoughts chipped away at his lovely being.
“ I’ll think in your place, baby. Daddy knows that thoughtless boys like you will always need daddy’s help.”jisung was a very, very smart boy. he loved animals and knew almost everything about them! especially squirrels, who were his buddies.
did you know that squirrels can jump a distance of up to 20 feet? now you did, and minho did too.
minho stirred his iced americano with his straw,as he continued to listen to the younger who was softly swinging his legs back and forth, eyes sparkling with child-like wonder as he continued to tell minho every animal fact that existed on the planet. minho was mesmerized to say the least, unsure of what to focus on exactly. jisung’s pinky lips that he wanted to plant feathery light kisses on, or jisung’s eye smile that he wanted to take a thousand pictures of.
minho himself, wasn’t really sure how he was so lucky as to end up with a walking sunshine, who always made him smile no matter what.
✿
jisung was filling in the blanks of his music theory worksheet, humming underneath his breath as he quickly scribbled down the answer. minho himself was a computer science major. sure, he had to memorise the certain concepts of computing and what not. however, jisung never failed to impress him. the boy was able to effortlessly remember every note although he did struggle with lyrics every now and then, his rapping flow was amazing and the way he could hit almost every note due to his versatile vocal range.
jisung always tried his best at everything he did even if he may not be the best at it, like the time he tried to copy minho who was doing the windmill. instead of break dancing, jisung ended up breaking his wrist, the fracture taking 6 weeks to heal completely.
he was very, very smart. he could change accents in the matter in seconds and had invested quite a bit of time in learning English, the words “ let’s get it “ seemingly latched onto him almost immediately.
however, there were exceptions.
there were times when jisung didn’t really want to be smart.
✿
like right now.
“ jisungie, do you want to drink something too? “
minho asked, patting the boy’s head softly when he noticed the younger’s fixated gaze on the diluted beverage which was 95% water and 5% americano by the time the ice had melted.concern laced minho’s voice as he observed jisung carefully, trying to figure out if something was wrong since the younger had stopped naming the different types of cats for a while now.
jisung blinked slowly, the chatter from the other customers only fading into nothing but white noise for him. the warm feeling of Minho’s fingers tracing soothing circles on his knuckles felt as if it was amplified ten times, his brain felt numb while his stomach felt fuzzy, as if someone had just dumped butterflies in it.
he parted his lips slowly as he cocked his head to the side, feeling a little overwhelmed for some particular reason. his eyes quickly became glassy as he noticed how minho’s lips formed a thin line, worried that he might be annoying the elder. a small smile adorned his lips when he realised that he might have looked intimidating due to his sharp and pointed features.
a small whine left his lips as he saw how prettily the elder smiled, eyes becoming glassy all of a sudden.
jisung could make decisions for himself, of course he could. he was more than capable of doing so. but sometimes, he secretly liked it when his friends ordered for him or helped him to choose what to wear when he was unsure.
