Chinese New Year 2023

It was the first day of Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year. The zodiac sign is the year of the rabbit this year.

Two families are going to celebrate the first day together. The families are the Lu family and the Ling family.

Mr.Lu, Mrs.Lu, Jia and Mei went currently getting ready.

Mrs.Lu asked, "Have you opened your red envelopes yet?"

Jia and Mei replied, "No, we haven't yet."

Mrs.Lu said, "Open them after we get ready because we have no time tonight to do that."

Mei responded, "Alright, mom."

Jia was doing her twin sister's hair, and the hairstyle that Mei wanted was two space buns. So Jia tied her sister's hair into two space buns and also tied in two red ribbons in Mei's hair after the space buns after Jia did her sister's hair.

Mei said, "Thanks, Jia."

Jia replied, "Your welcome."

Mei did Jia's hair, and she wanted a side braid tied on a red ribbon and the end of the braid. After Mei got done doing her sister's hair, Jia thanked her twin.

Jia and Mei went into their closets to find their traditional Chinese New Year outfits. They got dressed.

Mei said, "We still have to open the red envelopes."

Jia stated, "Okay."

Mei and Jia went to go and open the red envelopes their parents had given them. Once the red envelopes got opened by the girls. Jia and Mei both got $200 in the red envelopes.

Mr.Lu said. "Girls, the Ling family should be here soon, so please come downstairs."

Jia said, "Coming, dad."

Mei and Jia went downstairs.

Mrs.Lu said, "You two look beautiful."

Mei said, "Thanks, mom."

Jia said, "Thanks."

Mei stated, "Also, thanks for the $200."

Jia said, "Thanks for the money."

Mrs.Lu said, "Your welcome, girls."

The Ling family showed up at Lu's family's house. Mrs.Ling knocked on the door. Mrs.Lu went to open the door.

Mrs.Ling said, "Hi."

Mrs.Lu said, "Come on in."

The Ling family walked into the Lu family's house.

Bue said, "Happy Chinese New Year."

Wei said, "Happy Chinese New Year."

Mrs.Ling said, "Happy Chinese New Year."

Mr.Ling said, "Happy Chinese New Year."

Mrs.Lu said, "Happy Chinese New Year."

Mr.Lu said, "Happy Chinese New Year."

Mei said, "Happy Chinese New Year."

Jia said, "Happy Chinese New Year."

Mrs.Ling gave each Jia and Mei a red envelope, and the girls accepted the envelope.

Jia and Mei said, "Thank you."

Mrs.Ling said, "You are welcome."

Mrs.Lu gave Wei and Bue a red envelope, and the kids accepted the envelope.

Wei and Bue said, "Thank you."

Mrs.Lu said, "You are welcome."

Mrs.Ling, Mr. Ling, Bue, Wei, Mrs.Lu, Mr.Lu, Mei and Jia had dumplings as the main meal. The Ling and Lu family celebrated together, and late that night, the Ling family had to leave.

Bue and Wei each got $150. $50 from Mrs. Lu and $100 from their parents.

Mei and Jia got $250 each. In addition, they got $200 from their parents and $50 from Mrs.Ling.
