According to the legend, she will ask the potential victims if the victim thinks she is she is beautiful. and if the potential victim had responded with the answer "no" she will kill them with her very long dullish medical scissors on the spot in private so she does not get caught, scare off more victims or wait until nightfall and murder them in their sleep. or if the potential victim responded with the answer "yes", she will reveal that the corners of her mouth are slit from ear to ear she will then repeat her question if the victim, hesitantly say's "yes" Kuchisake-Onna will cut the corners of the victim's mouth in such a way the victim's mouth resembles Kuchisake-Onna's own disfigurement. but there are some methods that can be used to survive an encounter with the Kuchisake-Onna that will including answering her question by describing Kuchisake-Onna's appearance as "average", or by distracting the female with money, or with hard candies you best make sure it a sweet and not a rock. tough some variations claim if the victim rebounds with "yes" calmly and fearlessly she will give them a reward which is a Blood-Red ruby the female Kuchisake-Onna will let them live if you get that Blood-Red ruby I suggest you DO NOT LOOK BACK AT KUCHISAKE-ONNA if you do she will show you do.

Kuchisake-Onna was a beautiful young woman, in her life of the living in some versions of the legend of Kuchisake-Onna was the mistress of a samurai during her life. she grew lonely and upset as the samurai would always be away for work the samurai and Kuchisake would always fight, because of the samurai not being there Onna she begin to have affairs with other men around the town. when the samurai heard this he was outraged by the rumors of his wife cheating on him, As a punishment for her infidelity her husband was blinded in rage he sliced the corner of Kuchisake-Onna's mouth from ear to ear. tho some people tell the tale that Kuchisake-Onna's mouth was mutilated during a medical accident or dental procedure that she was mutilated by a.


 woman who was jealous of her beauty, or that her mouth is filled with sharp teeth. the legend of Kuchisake-onna dates back to at least as early as 1979. The legend was reported in such publications as the newspaper Gifu Nichi Nichi Shinbun on 26 January 1979, the weekly publication Shukan Asahi on 23 March 1979, and the weekly news magazine on 5 April 1979. Rumors about Kuchisake-onna spread throughout Japan, creating to the point that young children would sometimes be accompanied by members of groups while walking home from school. Historian and author considered Kuchisake-onna to be an example of a yōkai, a term that can refer to a variety of supernatural monsters, spirits, and demons in Japanese folklore. According to, a translator of many of Mizuki's works, "When Mizuki put her in one of his newest yokai encyclopedias, that's when she was officially considered a yokai."
