It was my first day at my new job and I was nervous as hell. I was 21 working at Popeyes . Gotta be the most ghetoest fast few place out there but anyways.
I began to get in the shower scrubbing my body with bath and body works shower gel and once done I got out and dried off.
After drying off i lathered myself in lotion and put on my clothes. After I walked to the living room of my apartment grabbing my coat and keys before heading out the door.
On my way there I played sza and sung to the top of my lungs feeling every lyric in my body.
When I pulled up to the establishment I jumped out walking in going to clock in seeing this light skin and brownskin hugged up on each other. Shit, must be fucking nice.
I guess they felt my gaze because the brown skin turned around before pushing the lightskin off and walking away. I frowned, I can't stand a DL nigga.
The lightskin walked up to me. "HI my name is Nicholas but call me Nick..and sorry about my uhm boyfriend he doesn't like to be seen in public " he said lowly and I nodded. "Understood but I'm Taymor call me Tay tho" he looked up at me smiling for some reason. "You must be the new employee I'm supposed to help".
I nodded smiling as well before he pulled me over to the cash register. After he explained to me the basics I nodded understanding. "Now that you've got everything we can open" he then went to the back before both Nick and the guy before came out opening up and getting in there positions.

It was now about 2 and I had just finished surving this group of high-school girls when I heard this strong Louisiana accent come through the door. I looked up seeing a dent headed male talking to another male but he had dreads. The one with dreads sat down while dents came an ordered. "What can I get for you?" I asked and the male looked down at me biting his lip.
"What's a fine thang like you doing working here?" He asked and I chuckled. "Gotta get money some how" he nodded still analyzing me. "Respect, but ugh can I get two chicken sandwiches wit fries" he asked and I put it in. "Will that be all?" He nodded. "10.39 please " he handed me the money while I gave him his food. "Thanks lil mama" I mugged looking down before he walked away him and his friend leaving.
After that I continued with my shift.

"Thanks for helping me close up, Jay normally helps but he been acting funny since you saw us" Nick said and I'm guessing the browskin I seen him with earlier was named Jay. "No problem and fuck him, if he dont wanna be seen around you then he not for you" Nick smiled. "Thanks Tay I needed that. "I always gotta help a bad bitch when I see one" we both shared a hug and exchange numbers before I left to go home.
