You had been going to karasuno high for about a month, you were on the volleyball team and seemed to enjoy it a lot, one person that caught your eye the most was Tsukishima or in other words Saltyshima reason being the guy was a salty asshole, you and him seemed to argue a lot, he would make short jokes about you all the time just because you were shorter than him, that seemed to annoy you I mean at least you were taller than noya and hinata.

You had went to the gym to get some practice in before everyone else had got there. You walk in setting your bag and other shoes down, you get everything out and start practicing since you were by yourself all you could do was spike and receive your own ball. Then you hear the gym doors open, you look over and see tsukishima, you groan in annoyance at him and try to ignore him, he then throws a ball at you coming very close to hitting you in the back of your head before you dodge it.

"DUDE WHAT THE HELL, WHAT WAS THAT FOR!?" you yell asking him a simple question.

"I'm just wanting to see if you get riled up over a ball hitting you" he says with his signature smirk.

"God your so annoying, why do you have to be such a dick all the time" you say rolling your eyes as you walk over to the ball that had been thrown at you and picked it up, you then toss it back to him.

"Because, I like your reactions." He says as he catches the ball.

"Fine, if all your gonna do is annoying me the whole time you can at least help me with my receives" you say to him, he shows an amused look on his face then starts spiking the ball to you as you continually receive the ball. Later your other teammates walk in to this little game? And watch for a bit, you both stopped and stared at them.

"What?" You say as you could see a few smirks and smiles across some of the team members faces.

"I thought you two would never get along" tanaka says with a closed eye smile.

"Yea a bit shocking especially when it's with Saltyshima" hinata says mocking tsuki.

"don't call me that" tsuki says in an annoyed tone.

"Saltyshima?" You say with a wide grin on your face. He looks over at you and throws a ball at your head, when you single handedly caught it and grinned even wider. "Cute but nice try" you say, but then your eyes widen at what you had just said and you seemed to be speechless at your own comment, as you start to zone out rethinking every life choice's you made.

"Anyway- let's get on with practice" daichi says as the rest of the club members walk into the gym, everyone had seemed to ignore the comment probably because they didn't want you to be to embarrassed about it. You all continued to practice for an hour or two.

"I gotta go" you say looking at your phone to see a message from your mom telling you to come home, you grab your stuff changing your shoes and putting your volleyball shoes back on your gym bag and leaving.

For the past few weeks it had become somewhat awkward between you and Tsukishima, technically you were the awkward one, you and the other club member were put in a practice camp because you all really needed the practice, you had met a few other schools and seemed to somewhat enjoy it? You did find it funny that kuroo and bokuto annoyed Tsukishima to play volleyball with them after practice, sometimes you'd watch them and found it quite amusing when Tsukishima would smirk or smile at the little accomplishments he had against them, you found it quite cute honestly, to see a different side to him other then him with tadashi he seemed at ease with this even though he hated having to practice with them.

One day the others had noticed you would watch them play and found it normal? To say the least, "hey, shorty why don't you come practice with us?" Kuroo says, that comment seemed to annoy you quite a lot since you hated people referring to you by your height.
