~So, before we get started I'm going to list what the inspiration is and which character is my OC~
OC: Elodie Barclay - Head matriarch of the Barclay family.
Inspiration: Belladonna, a book by Adalyn Grace (this book had me on my toes and I loved it)

Percy awoke groggily to the feeling of someone shaking his shoulder. He made a sound of morning irritation, slowly looking over at who was waking him up.
"Percy, wake up," Elijah urged and immediately Percy knew something was wrong. His father never woke him up and his voice was panicked.
"What's going on?" Percy asked, sitting up and looking around.
Looking around, Percy immediately came to the realization that Elodie wasn't in bed with him and he had five maids surrounding him.
"Where's-"
"Elodie's in a separate room. She's suddenly fallen ill," Elijah informed but his eyes held something far more dire.
"Ill? With what? She was fine last night and we were up quite late," Percy inquired, trying to get his father to spill it.
Elijah sighed quietly before waving the maids out and sitting on the edge of the bed.
"We believe she may have been poisoned this morning during breakfast. A few hours after eating, she said that she felt unwell and asked if she could go lay down," Elijah explained quietly and Percy's heart rate picked up with every word.
"W-what happened after that?" He asked in a small voice. The thought of poison brought Blythe to mind back when she had been poisoned and how he nearly killed his own sister and himself.
"On her way to the stairs, she collapsed. Byron caught her before she hit the stairs so she's not physically hurt," Percy relaxed a little but it did very little to ease the panic surging through his veins.
"I want to see her," He declared while pulling himself out of bed.
"Master Percy-" Warwick started.
"I want to see my wife," He repeated in a low and dangerous tone.
"Let the boy go," Elijah said while stepping back, allowing Percy a clear shot to the door.
That was all Percy needed before he bolted out of his room, still in his black sleep pants, loose white button up sleep shirt and black socks. His hair was a red, frizzled mess and he nearly slipped on the hardwood floor multiple times in his haste.
"Percy!" Signa cried as Percy slipped while turning a corner, landing hard on his butt and smacking his back against the floor with a hard 'thud!'. He wasted no time getting up and dismissing her with a rushed wave. Unfortunately for him, she followed close behind in concern.
Percy stayed silent as Signa rattled off questions, his jaw stiff and mouth pursed into a thin line before stopping and grabbing her shoulders.
"I do not have time for your questions, Cousin," He said flatly before letting go and continuing to speed walk towards Elodie's separate room.
Signa cried out to him and the moment he heard her heels, he broke out in a full sprint, suddenly thankful for his long legs.
Percy slid to a stop once he reached the room, nearly colliding with Blythe.
"Percy!" She yelled in surprise. He mumbled a quick apology before bursting through the door with Blythe and Signa right behind him. He tried to prepare him for what state his wife might be in.
