─── chapter fifteen.
❛ COTTON CANDY ❜PASSING CLASSES WAS SOMETHING KIL DEOK-JA WAS HARDLY INTERESTED IN. it wasn't her main priority, nor was it something she planned to do in the near future.
deok-ja was merely at school for the sake of being there, and would certainly leave if there was anything better for her to do.
unlike her brother, who was much wiser and worlds more patient, deok-ja was a fireball of emotions. she said what was on her mind, and didn't care what people thought of it.
there was no thoughts behind her voice, neither a filter.
deok-ja did as she pleased, whether or not permission was granted.
and that was precisely the reason for her arrival at PTJ entertainment early one school day. bundled in her pajamas and an oversized jacket, she made no particular effort to stand out, since she was only here for a friend and nothing more.
the PTJ building was a huge structure, with a large picture of their best asset plastered over the front window for anyone to gaze fondly at.
deok-ja couldn't deny that she too spent a second admiring the pink haired beauty that was DG, indisputably the backbone of the company.
after all, he was the reason she was willing to happily enter a room full of wannabes at the ass crack of dawn.
the young teen was more than willing to do many things for her friend, simply because he held an all too mushy spot in her caged-in heart. and, since it had been per the pink haired idol's request, deok-ja simply could not deny the favor.
upon entering the building, a gust of cool air hit the back of her neck, sending goosebumps down her skin. the change in scenery between the ugly halls of j high and the PTJ entertainment building were very stark, and deok-ja greatly appreciated the class this place had.
the man on the other side of the receptionist desk payed her no mind, only buzzed her in to the building without complete (thank heavens for her friend's authority!) deok-ja flashed him a sleepy grin and stepped into the elevator, pressing the topmost button.
of course, someone as famous as deok-ja's friend would reside on the uppermost floor of a company building.
as the elevator hummed in silence (for an entertainment company, PTJ sure was stingy with elevator music), deok-ja let her mind wander to the real reason she had so hastily accepted her friend's offer.
after her encounter with gun and a familiar face from big deal, she had promised both jace and vasco the truth behind her former affiliations. however, avoiding confrontation seemed to be a kil family trait, because the youngest kil coudn't bring herself to tell them anything of the deok-ja of the past.
surely, they would find her a hideous creature beyond redemption. not that she was a ray of sunshine now, but at least she'd fixed her temper somewhat (it was so much worse, if the torn middle school uniforms and empty school yearbooks were any proof).
