-𝙾𝚖𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚔𝚊𝚢𝚊 𝙵𝚊𝚖𝚒𝚕𝚢-The sound of a conch blowing causes my sister to rip me from my place, studying the reef. She quickly climbs on her Ilu. I follow her lead as we take off to the shore. My Ilu, Tashyk swims quickly, my hand growing sore as I hold on. As we near the shore, my head breaches the surface of the water to find the clan whooping and gathering on the beach.
My eyes scan the shore, finding six dark blue skinned Navi standing in a group, surrounded by my people. The tallest Navi holds his hands high in surrende. As the people whisper and watch.
A hand on my arm pulls me towards them, Tiseryi. I dive from Tashyk and join her as we near the strange Navi. We find our brother, Aonung and his friend behind two of the strange Navi, tugging their tails.
"It's so small, how is he supposed to swim?" Aonung's friend asks, earning a hit from Tiseryi.
"You know better, little fish." I snicker as he fumes.
"Hey," one of the boys greets Tiseryi and she smiles, smiling softly to herself.
I watch the two closely, stepping slightly infront of her. I watch sight of my father, Tonawari, the chief, riding his tsurak towords us. He makes his way swiftly and greets the eldest man. They all exchange greetings as my mother pushes through the crowd, her belly swolen with child.
"Why do you come to us, Jake Sully?" My father asks as Tiseryi and I drag Aonung to our parents' side.
"We seek uturu." Refuge. Jake sully says, gesturing to what seems to be his family two sons, two daughters.
"Uturu?" Mother objects.
"Your skills will mean nothing here." Father says as mother begins to circle the family.
"We will learn your ways, alright." Jake sully pleads.
"Their arms are thin." Mother tugs the older daughters tail, causing her to exclaim in pain. "Their tails, are weak. They will be slow in the water."
Suddenly mother rgrabs the young girls hands. After a moment of inspection, she raises them up high to reveal five fingers rather than four.
"These children are not even true Navi."
"Yes we are." The young girl argues as mother turns to the youngest boy, holding his hand high.
"They have demon blood!" Mother shouts, causing the clan to whisper.
"Look!" Jake sully holds up his own hand, revealing the same deformity. "Look, I was born of the sky people and now I am Navi. I can admit that. We will adapt, okay."
"My husband was Toruk Makto." The eldest woman says and I don't miss Jake Sullys contorted face. "He lead the clans to victory against the sky people."
"This is what you call Victory?" Mother argues with the woman. "Hiding among strangers. It seems Eywa has turned her back on you, chosen one."
The woman flattens her ears, hissing at my mother. I take a step forward and am yanked back my my father. My mother returns the gesture as Jake sully steps between the woman.
