CHAPTER 12

Shantivan,Delhi

The whole mansion was silent as the night fall deeper,It's been days since Shantivan lost complete peace. If Anjali's death unbinded the thread which held her family then past days Raizada family lost their sanctity in the eyes of those whom they associated with which pulled down their self confidence.

The night seemed long to each of them,in the confine of there chambers they tossed on theirs beds Nidra Devi failing to bestow them her blessing. They had a lot to talk yet their lips failed to utter a word.

All the rooms were dark apart Nani's room ,the dim light reflected on her great-granddaughter's face giving her a clear view to stare here features in silence.Not ones did she ever thought her family will scatter into pieces never to be rejoined again.

She was sure her husband is disappointed in her on how she led their family. Staring outside, she was sure the darkness symbolizes the state of her family. Even the moon's light failed to clear the darkness within.

Her heart shattered seeing her broken family and her silent grandson trying to take the reins of the family but failing miserable. His failing face and slumping shoulder pricked her when he revealed of the mansion they've made a home from past 15years to be auction.

Though she patted his shoulder only she knew how those words broke her heart for the place they made their home her eldest grandson bought and later entrusted it to her thinking he left in safe hands but like always she failed her.

She wiped her tears knowing her daughter will be shedding tears seeing her cruelty towards her Chote. For the first time she agreed she wasn't different from Subhadra Devi. Just like her she failed in her ubringing though unlike Subhadra she failed twice.

It was a painful realization but it was reality mocking her. Though morning arrived, but the dark circle below everyone's eyes spell their state which wasn't different from her.

The morning meal's taste on their tongue wasn't different from bitter guard. Swallowing was like a mission yet they pushed themselves knowing it will be a long day infront of them seeing the platform outside.

"Akash what have you decided?'

The abrupt question from Nani caught Akash of guard, he choke on the content he was drinking being startled.Payal rubbed his back soothingly as he wipes his mouth pushing his specs upward staring at Nani who was eating silently.

"Dadi I have some savings which will be able secure us a 3 bedroom apartment and push us for 3months and by the end of it I would have secured a Job somewhere"

Sigh Akash as he responds inwardly cringing knowing it wasn't going to be easy especially with her mother since they won't be having any domestic worker and he was sure his mother was going to torcher his wife.

"Hello bye bye!

Exclaim a shocked Mami hearing her son's response. Her eyes and mouth widen in astonishment ,her mind imaging her friends mocking her seeing her place, next seeing herself bargaining in buying a stock of vegetables her forehead sweating due to burning sun outside then when boarding auto back home a car zoom infront of her splashing when her friends head pop from passengers seat mocking her which gained weird look from onlookers to herself.

Different emotions was running on her face while others stared at her curiously. Mama patted her shoulder gaining her attention and a shaken Mami sigh in relief seeing all that was just her imagination.
