New girl

"It's been weeks after the loss of honorary corps member Sasha Braus. As some of you were very close to her, your time off has been spent in isolation or with your closest friends, but now it's time for us to band back together in the corps and continue with our plan to support Eren Jeager. This may be hard to hear but in the passing weeks since Sasha's death, we've had to fill in her place. Don't worry this doesn't mean she's been replaced. But be very cautious about the way you approach this new scout. Her name is Francis Takahashe. She is one of the most elite eldian soldiers we were able to recruit.  As of now she's been entrusted to join Levi Squad. The next briefing will be at 1700 hours." Commander Pyxis stated at the end of the briefing.

"Did you hear that guys?" Connie sighed.

"Nobody could ever replace Sasha. Besides she doesn't even know Eren like we do. How could we expect her to help in any way?" Jean complained.

"She's a fresh set of eyes. Besides it's not fair to judge her before we even meet her. Levi and Hange wanted to meet us and I'm pretty sure that it might be about this very debriefing." Armin said.

On the way to see Levi and Hange, the squad passed floch and some of the extremists they call jeagerists. They were talking to someone, possibly another one they added to their cult.

"Hey everyone." Hange waved and smiled at all of them.

"Good morning Section commander. What's the itinerary for today?" Mikasa asked.

"Leisure. I want you all to meet up with my Takahashe. She's already been shown her barracks room. You're under strict instruction to welcome her, spend some time with her and then fill her in on the issue at hand. She knows a great deal about Eren on her own, I want you guys to go see her. Break her in." Hange smiled.

"Nope, got things to do sorry Hange."Jean rolled his eyes.

"That's an order." Levi said, arms crossed in the doorway.

"Captain Levi is to meet with Takahashe at 1300 hours which means you guys have pretty much four hours to make an impression and report back." Hange nodded at them.

They all moped, walking out.

"This blows. I say we just go back to sleep and go to the briefing. Nothing the girl can't figure out on her own." Connie sighed.

"We should give it a shot guys. It's not like it's the end of the world. We don't even know her personality." Armin argued.

"Armin.. has a good point. Let's go." Mikasa sighed.

They walked as a group past their own barracks to a small isolated cabin.

"Hey this doesn't look like the barracks.." Mikasa looked around.

Armin walked up to the door and knocked lightly.

"Be right there." A voice said clearly.

They all looked at eachother before hearing the door open.

"Excuse me, are you Takahashe?" Armin smiled lightly at her.

"Yes, oh you guys must be the rest of Levi's squad. You can call me Francis. Please come in." She said.

"What a nice place.. I thought Hange said you'd be in the barracks though, not a cabin." Jean questioned her.
