After training, 1700 hours

"Levi, im gonna keep my head down. As my higher up I know it's important to you to create bonds with everyone on the team but I'll only be joining if I'm needed. After this morning with the team I think it's only necessary that I join when it's appropriate." Francis said as they walked through the town.

"Francis, don't let those brats make you feel like you don't belong. Don't show them that they can make you feel out of place. You earned this spot, i hand picked you. They'll get over it." He said smirking at you.

"One hell of a pick." She breathed.

"Tch, I know what I'm doing brat. Now, tell me your opinions on everyone. I need a rundown so I can assess how to fit you in some more." He said sticking his hands in his pockets.

"Thought I was perfect." Takahashe said jokingly.

Levi had a small smile on his face.

"Armin is good. He's the most level headed of them. Jean is.. a little stuck up but he's smart and listens well. Connie is-umm.. something. He jokes around a lot. I can tell he and Jean are upset and think I'm replacing Sasha so I can understand the irritation towards me. Mikasa is strong and very precise with her words. Blunt, honest and loyal." Francis sighed.

Levi closed his eyes shortly.

"Oh cant forget about Hange, she's absolutely nutty but she's keen on getting the job done no matter what. And.. you." She pondered.

Levi was side eying her as they stopped by the pier.

"You're known to be pretty cold and stoic but you like your squad enough to jump into action without hesitation. I feel like if the circumstances were different in the world, you'd be all smiles. But you've seen things, been through a lot. So I can understand your demeanor more. You're an amazing captain and I just barely met you but already I think my time here under your leadership will be well served." She said winking at the captain.

He was taken back by her small gesture.

"You know a lot about me after being here only a little while, covert ops has done you well. I've never met anyone who could make me laugh this many times in a day." He lowered his head and turned back towards the pier.

"Then you must not have had a funny bone until I got here, im surprised you don't find Connie nearly as funny. But then again can't let your guard down too much.. the world we live in is built for catastrophe to happen at any moment." She sighed staring off into the sunset.

"We stayed out much later than I anticipated, I was supposed to be making sure you had all your odm gear and supplies. Guess I got a little too caught up in getting to know you. Not such a brat after all." He smirked jokingly at her.

"Tell me, have your eyes always been two different colors?" Levi asked facing her.

She looked at him questionably.

"Yes, it's a recessive trait but it seems I'm the only eldian alive with it." She said placing her back on the wood, mirroring Levi's position.

"It's rare, quite intriguing. I'm surprised hange hasn't noticed. If you don't mind, when she finds out I'd like to be around to make sure she doesn't end up poking your eyes out." He said rolling his eyes.
