His words were ringing in my ears. For the first time in my life, I was speechless. I always thought I wanted Himnish. Everyone told me he is a good fit, Vicky di, Angel. They were hell-bent on us being a couple because it was a safer option.
Because I tricked myself into thinking he's the one... but... he isn't
Now I'm staring at his handsome face, that billion-dollar smile, and those chocolaty curls. All I could think about was how much I wanted to run my hand into the raven hair, how much I wanted to get lost in the dark orbs, and finally, how much I wished he was here. That arrogant, egoistic jerk had shown me what I wanted.
The deathtrap, the troublemaker, The Harshit Kapoor have my heart.
"By the look of your face, I guess you finally listened to your heart" Himnish voice broke my daydreaming," Tell him"
"Huh?"
He laughed while standing up," Go to him and tell him" he offered me his hand and I gladly took it. I stood up," Shouldn't I be the one consulting you?" I teased him
"Aisha, it's cute when you think there's anything up here" he gave a light knock on my forehead, " You remembered when I gave you a surprise in front of your coaching"
I nodded," when you said you came all the way here just to be my friend?"
He raised his hands in surrender," Don't shoot those daggers, I was an Idiot even Raj said that" I laughed while giving him a thumbs up. Indeed he is
" He warned me if I don't act soon, I'll lose my chance which matter of fact, I lost!" my smile started fading but he stopped my overthinking," It wasn't your fault Aisha. It's all about timing. Just like you said, destiny.
I'm and always will be your friend, in good and bad times. You have my back. But I don't think I'm the one... I think neither of us is for the other" he rubbed his neck while I patted him," I agree with you 100%"
He waved his hand dismissively while smiling," I'm saying, we are good as friends. We are in each other comfort zone as friends but partners... a big no-no"
"I guess we misunderstood our feelings. I hope you find the one, Himnish. You deserve someone straightforward and fearless. The one with killer looks and unbeatable mindset, who can clean every single second thought or nagging feeling of yours" I gave him my genuine smile which he returned.
"And I guess you need someone like, I can't believe I'm saying this... Someone like Harshit"
My eyes widened while looked at him for an explanation.
"Don't look at me like that" he waved his hands while tugging a stray of my hair behind my ear," You deserve someone who's crazy for you and knows what he wants. Someone whose mad matches yours, just a little bit more mature. Someone who'll rip everyone's throat but bend his knees for you. Especially someone who doesn't get confused. Someone like.. Harshit"
He turned me towards the gate and gave me a little push," Now go, tell him Aishu. He's waiting for you"
I acted on my instincts and walked forwards until stopped midway. I turned around, my gaze landed on Himnish. His tilted head and a smile plastered on his face. His brow raised while he pointed me toward the door.
My vision blurred and shook my head. He gave a ' why aren't you running already' look but I ran towards him and jumped on him.
He caught me with one hand while his chest was vibrating, he was laughing indeed.
