Seated right in front of each other, the silence was eating Mirai up from the inside. It had been a solid minute since Seo-Jun requested a conversation, a private one, but he did not utter a single word for the past five minutes or so, he simply sat opposite her, fidgeting his fingers, not knowing where to start. Where did he have to start? The part he messed up and needed her to pretend to be his girlfriend one more time? Or was it the part that he already told his best friends that her name was Song Mirai... A slight cough from his companion made him snap out of the course of his deep thinking, only to cross his arms on the table, staring back at her intensely.

"- First of all, sorry for coming unannounced." As he spoke, she couldn't help but think that they weren't even on visiting terms, heck they didn't even have each other's contacts. "But I might've messed up and really need you to pretend to be my girlfriend once again."

Here goes nothing! He screamed internally, hoping that his straightforwardness would be enough for her to simply say OK, especially that he was surely going to offer big bucks again, and she seemed to be in need of money. Not that he was judging her, he had been in her shoes for far too long, the money he earned was just the fruit of his hard work, otherwise he would be piling up part-time job on another with no free time nor good education. And quite honestly, Jug-Kyung played a big role in who he was now, being as supportive as she could, even when he knew she only saw him as a friend. Perhaps, maybe it contributed in his undeniable love for her.

Mirai stayed silent for a while, totally taken aback by the suggestion he came to her with like some bomb. She knew he was expecting an answer, and she had none for the moment. Staring at him for a moment, she studied his features, he displayed a worried, almost anxious vibe, and then he bit on his lower lip, caging it between his perfectly aligned teeth, which instantly brought back flashbacks of that night, when they shared a pretty heated kiss. She totally forgotten about that part! It was all it took for her to snap out of it, straightening her back as she took a sip from her coffee. Disgusting. The ice melted and now she could taste the water in it and it was simply not worth finishing.

"- No." She sighed, a bit disappointed that she did not get to finish her drink because of his arrival.

"- I will pay you!" He attempted, moving his body forward, his palms hitting the table lightly. "It would be for just a couple of weeks, I'll pay you whatever you want. Name it, and it's yours!"

"- Can't you just get a girlfriend? You're famous! Girls are probably falling down at your feet, you could get anyone to be with you. You don't lack in money nor do you lack in looks, I just don't get why you need me." Yes, Mirai was money hungry for a long time in a life, following part time job to part time job, and even going as far as taking change from her classmates for various services, but she now had a job, and with the money he had already paid her, she could pull through for months, adding in something to her already tight schedule was really not the best decision, no matter the pay.

"- Yes, but I need you. I fucked up, I already gave out your name, I can't just convince someone to be Song Mirai for weeks, it's identity theft!"

"- You should've thought about it before violating my privacy and using my name without my consent!"

The tone had obviously been higher ever since they started getting deeper into their debate. Mirai was very disappointed that someone allowed themselves to use her full name to trick someone else, but again, it was harmless. As long as the media did not catch a glimpse of the drama, she was safe. Seo-Jun was already sweating, looking absolutely devastated, which kind of sparked some curiosity inside of the young woman. Why did he need her help so much? Why did he HAVE to pretend to have a girlfriend instead of actually getting one?
