Premise: you and your crush go to a very nice school, like rich people school, and the school hosts a winter ball every February, where you're expected to look fancy and dance and drink champagne. Your crush, asked another girl out, but he keeps eyeing you at the ball.

We're starting out with the smutty smut smut so be warned cos oh boy it's coming

"I don't know what his issue is?! I mean he literally asked another girl out when I've shown him a million hints that I like him. I don't get it." I rant to my friend, f/n, about how unhappy I am. She looks at me, exchanging glances with me and the crowd.

"Look though, he's staring at you." I look over in her direction and there he is, looking as handsome as ever, sitting on the other side of the ballroom sipping a glass of champagne. His body is fitted so well in his suit, almost too well, as I can see his arms clearly through his sleeves. His hair covered his face so perfectly and his eyes, his dreamy e/c eyes sparkle in the light. I adjust my baby blue tulle dress and pull down the top of it a little, to make my chest look bigger.

"I can't, he's too cute." I sigh and rest my head on my hands, and I drift off looking at his eyes and listening to the music. He doesn't let go of my stare. Suddenly, he gets up and starts to walk over to me, ignoring his date next to him. She has a look of disgust on her face when he gets up to move.

"Oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god." I stammer and my face goes hot. I see my friend start to walk away. "Wait, where are you going?"

"I'm leaving you to it."

I start to panic when he gets closer and closer, and now that I don't have a friend to prevent me from embarrassing myself, I feel like I'm screwed.

He approaches me. He looks so much better up close. "Hey, I couldn't help but notice how good you look tonight." He says almost nonchalantly. He's so calm about our interaction and I'm over here freaking the fuck out. He sits down at the chair right next to me and leans forward. He looks inebriated, but so am I, as I've also had a few drinks, which, is not helping my social anxiety as much as I'd hope.

"Oh, really? Uhm, you look really good too." I'm not nearly as romantic sounding as he is, but that doesn't mean a damn thing because I am so into him right now.

"Thanks. I was wondering if you want to dance to the next song with me." He says so calmly in his silky voice.

"Uhm, yeah, I'd like that, a lot." I blush and it looks like he does the same.

"I just want to, apologize, you know." He says and I look at him with confusion.

"What, what do you mean?"

"I should've asked you to the dance in the first place." He intently looks into my eyes, and I maintain the eye contact, getting lost and crushing on him.

"Oh, you don't need to apologize for that." I lie only a little bit. Of course, it's his right to pick and choose whoever he wants to go with to the dance, but he should've chose me. I can't complain though, I mean he's right here, looking at me with his dreamy face.

The current song comes to an end and c/n holds out his hand to dance to the current song, a slow song that I didn't recognize, but had a girl with a soft, pretty voice sing it under a mellow guitar. It seemed a lot of people chose to leave after the previous high tempo song, but the couples, now including me and c/n were left to the dance floor.

Cue the song I linked above

C/n leads us in a waltz. We had all learned to ballroom dance previous to the ball in our physical education classes. I have to say, I'm pretty good at it. And so is he. We step in perfect rhythm to the beat of the guitar, and with the buoyancy of my dress, and the way I moved on my toes while he completely guided me, it felt like I was floating. Floating and falling in love. Never in a million years would I imagine this would happen to the one I've been adoring.
