JADE

"Shittt this place is huge, you actually work here, Ryder?" I asked looking up at the huge building.

"You call me Pierce, not Ryder. And yes I do. Now shut up and let me explain everything." He let out a long sigh, he seemed very stressed, maybe I will shut my mouth for a little bit.

"Your gonna explain to me how we just jumped through a portal of some sorts, and landed wherever here is? Also it's fucking freezing, thanks for telling me it was gonna be cold." Okay maybe not.

"Yes. I'm gonna explain everything, also it's not my responsibility to make sure your prepared for the cold. Anyways," He suddenly stopped, so I ran straight into his black. Before I could go flying on my ass, he caught me at the last second.

"Thanks." I mumbled once I was standing.

"Okay. Now I'm gonna explain everything, and shut the hell up while I'm explaining or I will literally rip your head from your body." Okay Ryder is scary as hell.

"So basically, magic exists. Clearly, and uhm vampires, werewolves, sirens all that shit is real. And you, your one of them. Your a magical creature, well a type of Fae and well what kind of Fae you are we have no idea." What the actual fuck. He doesn't really think I'm gonna believe him does he? Well.. I mean we did just go through a portal or whatever. But still theres no fucking way.

"Your telling me, all the shit I read about when I was a child is real. Witches, warlocks, fucking unicorns?" I questioned because this was fucking crazy.

"Yes. Actually let me show you." At first it didn't look like anything happened until he smiled, and I seen the two sharp teeth.

"No way... there's no way, your a... vampire." The words came out in a whisper, why? I have no idea.

"Yup." He said popping the 'p'.

"I- there's- I don't- there's no way I'm like you-" I can't believe fucking vampires are real, and whatever other stories I heard as a kid are too.

Ryder chucked like this was funny to him. But this was fucking insane.
"Yeah no your not. Don't worry, sweetheart, you don't drink peoples blood." He said with a wink.
"Then- what. What am I? I mean I would have felt if I was a fucking werewolf, or something wouldn't I?" I asked not sure what to think about this situation. If I'm a Fae? I think he called it, then why have I not felt it?
"You wouldn't feel it until The Awakening. It's when your order form comes, and you find out what element you control."
"The what now?" This was all so confusing. Like what the hell is an order form.
"An order form? It's what we change into. Like a werewolf when it turns into its wolf form thats an order form. Or like a few seconds ago when my fangs were showing, that was my order form." Okay, I guess that makes sense. Kind of. Ugh this is all so confusing, why does this have to happen to me.
"So like- I'll control an element after the awakening? Like water, earth, air, or fire?" This was all so confusing, like I have an order form, and I'm gonna be controlling an element?
"Yeah, you could possibly control more than more element, considering who your parents are, but even then controlling more then one element is very rare. You control the element of your zodiac sign. Like I'm a Libra, so I control air." He spoke like this wasn't a big deal at all. Like I wasn't just living in a human world where I had no idea any of this existed. Wait my parents? And that means I'm going to control fire? Right I mean I'm an Aries, thats fire. I think. Who knows I'm not into that shit.
"What do you mean? Who are my parents?" He knew my parents? I don't even know them, how the hell does he know them. Also what the fuck it's freezing, and why the fuck are we standing out here still, I thought we were gonna be late for whatever the hell it was we were gonna be late for.
"Oh right, your parents used it be the King and Queen of the Fae Realm. Before they died at least."
"So your telling me I'm the daughter of some king and queen I've never even heard of. That's fucking crazy. There's no way." Ryder pulled out something that looked like a phone, but a little different.
"Fuck" he muttered under his breath. "We're late, like really late. Let's go, we can continue this conversation later, or someone else will talk to you. Sorry this is gonna be weird, please don't throw up." He lifted me up and threw me over his shoulder.
"Ryder, what the fuck!" I yelled. What the fuck is wrong with him! I tried everything I could to get him to put me down but nothing worked. He started fucking laughing!! This asshole.
"It's pierce! Not Ryder. And stop, I'll put you down in a second." As soon as those words left his mouth he was running. But like really fucking fast so I couldn't see anything around me. Now I can see why he asked me not to throw up.
"There's no way in hell I'm calling you "professor Pierce" that's fucking weird." We were still running, but I finally got myself to talk.
"Then just call me pierce, literally anything other than Ryder." He sounded annoyed, but also like he was trying to keep a laugh in.
"Nah I think I'll continue to call you Ryder." Shit I am literally going to throw up. This is awful. Ryder stopped right outside a door and then put me on the floor. Thank god this was over. I stumbled a bit and almost fell over but Ryder caught me before I fell. Placing his hands on my waist to help steady me. I couldn't help but feel the pull again, but even strong this time. Once again completely ignoring it.
"Fine then I guess I'm calling you Madeline." Ew let's not. Actually if that means I can call him Ryder, then maybe I can deal with it because pissing him off is the best.
"Okay go for it." I tried to hide the disgust I felt of having him call me Madeline, because that name was just awful in 20 different ways. Well it wasn't that bad, but it definitely wasn't for me.
Ryder started smirking, and I'm honestly not even sure why. "Come on, let's go in before we're even more late." He spun me around, just as the doors flew open. Well shit, apparently he controls air. Wait no he told me that, how could I forget. Ryder walked in first, and I followed behind him. Oh my god there's at least 500 people here, and they are all looking at me and Ryder. Being late probably isn't the best thing. Thank god I put the makeup on before Ryder showed up because I did not need all this people looking at me with my face busted up. A lot of people
Were looking at me with curiosity, and some looked... disgusted with me? If that makes any sense. What the actual hell have I gotten myself into.
"Well Pierce, your late. Which doesn't surprise me at all, but you were minutes away from missing the awakening. You need to learn how to not be late Pierce this is getting ridiculous." A lot of people laughed at that. The lady on stage seemed pissed with Ryder, which makes sense, she must be the principal of the school. She was freakishly tall, but really pretty. She had long brunette hair, and emerald green eyes.
"Yes well I had to deal with Madeline's ab-" I knew what he was about to say, and I couldn't allow him to tell everyone in this room that my father was fucking abusive. I don't know what he was thinking. What made him think it was okay to tell over 500 people I was abused. So I did the only think I could think of, I slapped him in the face, I could have went for a more subtle way to shut him up, but I was so scared of him telling anyone I just kinda did whatever worked. I heard a lot of people gasp, and everyone was shocked by my actions, and honestly so was I.
"Oh Shit! Sorry Ryder. I just didn't want you to tell everyone about Zane." Oh fuck. I just slapped a professor. Oh fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
This man did not just start laughing. "It's Fine, Madeline. I understand, telling over 400 people about your father probably wouldn't be the best thing ever."
"He's not my father." I muttered but I'm sure he heard because he's a fucking vampire. Everyone was watching the interaction like it was the most interesting thing ever, like it wasn't. I mean I did slap my teacher, but that's not the point. They should know it's rude to stare.
"Okay uhm. Let's ignore what just happened. So the awakening is about to start!! Freshman stand up, and get ready for this!" Ryder pushed me to the front where at least 100 people were standing. "So, se are going to start off with Water! If you get a small wave tattoo on your arm then that means your control the water element. Please raise your hand if you have it!" I didn't feel anything, nor did I see a tattoo on my arm, so it's safe to say that I don't control water. Multiple hands went up so they must have got water.
"Okay! Next is fire! If you see a fire tattoo on your arm, you control fire! If you see it, please raise your hand." This time, I felt a weird tingle on my arm, and when I looked down, I had a fire symbol on my arm. I raised my hand along with a few other students. So I was right, I am a fire sign.
"Nice you got fire." A deep voice whispered from behind me.
"Shit Ryder you scared me." He's so fucking scary it's not even funny.
"Okay! Next is Air! If you get a cloud on your arm you control air, please raise your hand if you do." Again I felt a weird tingle on my arm and I looked down and found a cloud on my other arm. So fire on right, air on left. That's cool I guess. I raised my hand again.
"Well looks like I was right, you did get more than one." Ryder whispered again.
"Apparently. Am I gonna keep these tattoos forever? Or do they go away." I asked. I really wanted to know because I don't know if I really want these forever.
"No they stay forever. See." He rolled his sleeve up and showed me the cloud tattoo on his right arm.
"Okay! And lastly earth! If you see a leaf on your arm you control earth. Like before, please raise your hand if you have it!" Once again, the tingle came, and this time it was closer to my hand. I looked down to see on my right arm I had a leaf on it. I raised my hand again.
"Well Madeline! It looks like you control three elements! That's really rare, I only know of 4 other people in the whole of the Fae Realm who have controlled more than two." The principal boosted. Well shit that's not weird at all.
"Damn Mads, you just found out about the fae realm, and your already one of the most powerful fae here." Oh great now I have a new nickname. Although for some odd reason I didn't mind the nickname. It was better than Madeline.
"Huh maybe she'll be more powerful than the 5." Someone said in the crowd. What the hell are the 5?
"What's the 5?" I whispered to Ryder.
"A group of powerful Fae. They're parents are the most powerful Fae in the realm, and once they graduate, and start becoming more powerful, they will be even more powerful than their parents. Your parents actually used to be the most powerful, but after they died no one knew if you were dead, or coming not so the 5 families under your parents took over. I recommend you stay away from them though, they can be very dangerous." Shit.
"So basically I'm a Princess?" I asked, but I already knew the answer to that.
"That's all you got out of that." He shook his head like he was annoyed or something, but he was smiling so he clearly was mad or anything.
"Yeah. It's cool to think I'm a princess. Although I look quite the opposite of one, and act the opposite of how a princess should act." This was the truth, I was the complete opposite of a princess. For one, I was ugly, well not ugly but I wouldn't say I was pretty either, two, my attitude is not what a princesses attitude should be, and three well look at me. Although I'm fine with it because I liked who I was. I don't care what anyone says, I don't mind my personality and attitude, I wouldn't change for anything.
"Well that doesn't mean anything. A princess doesn't have to act a certain way, or look a certain way to be one." Why is Ryder actually kind of growing on me now. Like he's been a grumpy asshole like 95% of the time I've known him, but there's something about him.
He cleared his throat, and then walked away. What was that about? Well now what am I supposed to do, I know nothing about this world, and I don't know anyone here so what am I going to do.
"Okay everyone! Now that the awakening is done we are having a party in an hour! So everyone go to your dorms they will be in whatever house you got so if you control fire element your dorm will be in the fire house, and same thing with the others. Now get dressed and get ready to party! And remember your order forms are going to emerge either tonight or tomorrow!" Oh hell no. There's no way I'm going to a party, I don't even know anyone here.
"Hey Madeline! It's so cool to see you! I mean your a lost princess and everything so that's cool!" I turned around to see a girl a few inches taller than me. She had long blond hair, and dark brown eyes, she was actually really pretty. Everyone here was hot for some reason.
"Hey, uhm it's just Jade, not Madeline." I really did not need people going around calling me Madeline.
"Oh yes of course. It's just your parents named you Madeline so I wasn't sure if that name stuck or not, I know everyone else is calling you Madeline." Everyone else? Who the hell is talking about me?
"Oh yeah no I've been called Jade my whole life so.. yeah. Uhm I'm not really sure where my dorm is because you know.." I held out my arms. "I have more than one element."
"Oh right! People with more then one element have to go talk to Principal Kein to find out what house they go in. Come on, let's go talk to her." Wait I still don't know this girls name
"Wait what's your name?" It was weird to ask, but she still hasn't told me it, and I needed to know what to call her.
"Oh yeah! My names Hannah, but you can call me Han." She grabbed my wrist and brought me over to the principals. I wonder what house I'm going to be in, this isn't like anything I've ever heard of before so this was all weird. Plus I still need to find out what my order form is. I wonder what all the different forms are.
"Ah Madeline, I was expecting you!" Fuck still using the Name Madeline.
"Yeah no it's just Jade. Not Madeline." I didn't even try to hide my anger with the name, it was so annoying. The only person who's allowed to call me that is Ryder, and that's only because we made a deal.
"Oh right sorry! Now you need to pick which house you want to be in. I'll have you meet each house captain so it will help out your decision." There's fucking house captains. What the hell, this place is so weird.
Just a few seconds later I heard footsteps behind me, and turned around to see 5 people walking towards us. I think I just stopped breathing. What the absolute hell. Holy shit. What the fuck. Oh my god. They are so fucking hot, it should be illegal to be that hot. The dude on the far right was tall as fuck. He has black, short curly hair, and the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. They are this ocean blue color. He wasn't as muscular, and built as the rest of them, but he had, like a swimmers body, and he had dark skin. The girl on the side of him was so pretty. She has short, red hair, and she has hazel eyes. She was really tall, not as tall as the dude next to her, but a good foot taller than me. She also kind of had a swimmers body. The one in the middle. Oh my god he was hot as fuck like holy hell who thought it was okay to make someone that hot. Actually who thought it was okay to make all of them this hot. He had black short hair, and a little bit fell over his forehead and into his eyes, but he pushed a hand through his hair moving the hair from his face. His eyes were.. black which creepy as hell, but also so hot. He was really fucking tall. At least 2 feet taller than me, and he had muscles showing off at every angle. He looked like a fucking god. The one on the side of him had long brown hair, and brown eyes. He was also very muscular, and of course tall as shit. The dude next to him had curly blonde hair, and ice blue eyes. He was as tall as the one in the middle, but not as muscular. I swear to god why are they all so fucking hot. I must have been staring too long because they all had the same expression, and were all glaring at me. They looked pissed, and also looked so
Scary. Like even scarier than grumpy asshole. They must be "the five" I've been hearing about.
