Hello! Welcome to my rewrite of my original reader insert! If you're new, welcome! This is just a reader insert of Kingdom hearts but with you, yes you,the reader! I've decided that in order to make things work and less weird, i may change some of the ages of some of the characters, for plot reasons. Your name is ~~~~, and you know h/c for hair color, ect. For those of you who have trouble imagining, i'll put a picture of the starlight keyblade for if you cant imagine or just don't want a different keyblade. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Please enjoy!!

You hummed softly as you skipped along the sidewalk, clutching your father's hand with one hand and a small straw basket with the other. The basket jingled with little rocks and a few crystals you'd collected."Think you've got enough rocks for your party?" your father asked with a chuckle.
You nodded eagerly. In just a few days, you'd be seven, and you were having a birthday party. Your parents had invited some kids your age, and you, being the rock collector you were, had decided to give each guest a special stone from your collection.
"Yes! This should be enough!" you chirped, eyes sparkling as your home came into view. "Come on, Dad!"
Laughing, your father let you tug him along as you half-ran, nearly tripping over your own feet. "Whoa, whoa, slow down there, ~~~~! Enjoy the walk, kiddo," he said, his voice growing quieter at the end, but you didn't notice, too excited to show your mom the latest treasures.
"Mom! Mom!" you shouted, dashing up the front steps. Your father opened the door, and you bolted inside, running straight to the kitchen where your mom was.
You hugged her legs tightly, beaming up at her, but the smile faded when you noticed a stranger standing in your kitchen. The man was tall, with scars on his face, steel-blue eyes, and black hair pulled into a half-ponytail. He seemed out of place.
"Mom..." you mumbled, shrinking behind her as the stranger smiled at you, though there was something stern in his expression.
"Hello there, little one," the man greeted kindly. "I'm Master Eraqus." He extended his hand toward you.
Nervously, you stepped out from behind your mother, hesitantly shaking his hand. "I'm ~~~~," you said, offering a shy smile.
"~~~~..." A new voice echoed, muffled and distant, like it was coming from underwater.
"~~~~!" it called again, louder this time.

You shot upright, eyes wide, scanning your surroundings. Your breath was still caught in your throat as you spotted Aqua kneeling by your bedside."What?!" you snapped, annoyed at being woken from the dream.
"You were dreaming," Aqua corrected, standing with a smile. "Not memories. Come on, up! We're training extra hard today. Tomorrow's the Mark of Mastery exam, remember?"
Groaning, you flopped back onto the pillow. "Ven and I aren't even taking it! We're not old enough!"
A voice from the doorway teased, "Oh, I see. You're just upset Ven's better than you."
"HE IS NOT!" you sputtered, ripping the blanket off. Terra stood in the doorway with a sly grin.
You glared at him as Aqua laughed at your frazzled state. "Both of you, get out!"
After a rushed change of clothes, you bolted down the halls—only to slam straight into Ventus.
"Ow! Ven, watch where you're going!" you grumbled as he pulled you to your feet.
"Me?! You're the one who ran into me!" he shot back, clearly offended.
Before the argument could escalate, Terra grabbed both of you by the collars. "You two aren't slacking, are you?" he said, a smirk playing on his lips. "Because if I'm reading the time right, you're late."
Wide-eyed, you exchanged a glance with Ven. "RACE YA!" you both shouted in unison, dashing toward the training yard.
Combat lessons with Master Eraqus were first on the agenda, followed by sparring. The morning dragged on with lessons about light, darkness, and control—stuff you usually zoned out during. By midday, it was finally time for some free time, and Ven had his daily sparring session with Terra.
"Ugh, I can't take it anymore," Ven groaned, flopping down beside you.
"You totally got your butt kicked again!" you cackled, watching his face turn beet red.
"Y-yeah? Well...your face is weird!" he huffed.
You barely had time to respond before Terra pulled you to your feet. "Your turn, ~~~~," he said, summoning his keyblade.
"What?! No! We're done with training!" you protested, but Terra raised a hand to silence you.
"Who was late this morning?"
"...Me," you admitted grudgingly.
"Then you owe me. Now, no whining. Spar."
Reluctantly, you summoned your keyblade. Terra was stronger than Ven, and though he wasn't as fast, his strikes wore you down quickly. You blocked blow after blow, but fatigue was setting in.
"~~~~, attack me! Stop being afraid!" Terra barked, frustration creeping into his voice. But you hesitated, and that was all it took. His keyblade slammed into your stomach, knocking you to the ground.
"Up. We're not done until you get over this fear."
You loved Terra, but teacher Terra? He was relentless. Ever since the accident, you'd been too scared to really fight, sticking only to defense. You could block forever, but that wouldn't make you a Master.
"I can't," you pleaded with him, your voice shaky. But Terra's eyes softened only briefly.
"You don't have a choice. The Mark of Mastery exam is closer than you think," he warned.
As you dragged yourself upright, summoning the strength to keep going, Ven stood from the sidelines, calling out, "Maybe take it easy, Terra—"
"She needs to stop running from who she is," Terra interrupted. "You know what I mean, ~~~~. You can't be afraid anymore. I'm not going easy this time."
The next strike hit harder. You gritted your teeth and fought through it, but no matter what, you couldn't fully commit to your attacks.
Hours later, you collapsed, your body screaming from exhaustion. Dirt, bruises, and scrapes covered your skin. Terra dispelled his keyblade and offered you a hand up.
"We'll continue tomorrow," he said, "after Aqua and I take the Mark of Mastery exam."
You trudged back to the castle in silence, your thoughts too loud to ignore. "Don't give up," Terra said softly, breaking the quiet.
"Hm?" you murmured, lost in your head.
"You'll get better. Just don't give up," he repeated. You nodded, though it felt like the more you tried, the worse you became.
That night, you picked at your dinner, excused yourself early, and showered before burying yourself in books about combat and keyblade lore. Your body ached, but exhaustion finally won, and you drifted off into a restless sleep.
