Today was the day; Viola would finally unpack all of her moving boxes she deemed worthy enough to bring with her from London. It had been five days since she received the Suzuki job, and her apartment setup thus far was a futon, mini fridge and a small TV that was situated in the middle of the room.
Her friend Cara was on the phone to celebrate the momentous occasion, as she often was whenever Viola had anything mildly interesting happen that she needed to talk to someone about. Her short ginger hair and prominent gap tooth added a beautiful sort of innocence to her overall look.
"How's Suzuki? Is Gail as much of a thundercunt as we thought she would be?" Viola could hear the sound of her friend munching loudly on a freshly steamed egg roll, hastily wiping the liquid dripping from her chin.
"Oh, they haven't put me to any work yet. They're giving me a week off to adjust to New York, so I'm guessing no on the thundercunt front." Viola swept back her long, ashy orange hair with the hand that wasn't holding her phone to her ear. She checked the clock on top of her mini fridge; 6:50. 30 minutes left until breakfast with Nathan.
"I'll have to go, Carrie. Talk to you tonight."
"No wait-" Viola hung up the phone, standing up to get dressed. She stretched her cotton pajama bottoms down her wide, soft hips. Her shirt followed next, and so did everything else until she was in a prime state to get ready for the day.
