A young boy laid on his bed, his whole body slightly shivering, not from the cold, no, it was summer, it wouldn't be cold for another 3 to 4 months, it was only July. Only July.
He knew his parents drank more during the summer months, he knew they'd be coming home soon, turning his head slightly, he checked the clock mounted next to his door on his dirty and old blue walls. 6:03pm the clock read; they were usually home by 6:30pm.
He began to study his room for the hundredth time today, trying to do anything to distract himself from his hell. There was a small brown desk a few inches away from his door and there were some papers stacked into three separate neat piles as well as a few old drawings and some pencils and erasers scattered on the desk. Speaking of drawings, there were some scattered across his walls all over his room.
He had grown up with his parents talking about some-sort of pizza place, he had heard stories about the cool animatronics that roamed around and sang there, of course this was back when they were kids, and the stories were told to him long before his parents began drinking.
Eventually he began drawing the animatronics his parents talked about, in all types of different styles. Some were pirates, others were dressed up as pretty princesses, whilst his favorites were the ragged and old, broken down and lifeless looking ones. He made all kinds of withered looking ones, they looked cool, plus he found it fun to draw the wires and metal materials all sticking out and broken looking. His parents used to praise him for his work, they used to be so proud of him and call him their 'pride and joy.'
He then looked to the end of his bed, where a practically empty toy chest sat with a small Fredbear plush sitting on the top. His father had given him that plushie, he had kept it since he was around nine years old up in his closet before finally deciding to pass it on to his son.
Next to his bed laid two nightstands, one had a book and lamp on it while the other had another plush on it, except this one was just a basic brown teddy bear, one his grandma bought him before she passed away. He barely remembered her, she passed when he was only two-years-old. The side of his bed, closest to his wall, there was a window, it had blue blackout curtains that were halfway opened to let in some sunlight. He loved the sun, it was pretty.
The young boy was brought out of his thoughts by the front door opening and slamming shut. He flinched slightly before throwing a glance up at his clock, it now read 6:46pm. How long was I zoned out for? he thought to himself before hearing his name be called out in the distance, although it was slurred. "Gregory!"
Gregory slowly sat up and slithered out of bed, slowly walking over to his door and making sure to be as quiet as possible when opening it, he closed it silently behind him and creeped slowly down the stairs, he wanted to sneak out, he wanted to leave like he always did when his father returned home like this. Wait, usually Mom comes up the stairs yelling before Dad does, what's going on? Something feels... different... about today.
He continued his slow journey down the stairs, avoiding any area that he knew creaked.
Gregory eventually reached the bottom of the stairs, he slowly creeped around the corner of the railing before turning it swiftly, shocked to see both his mother and father standing there in the hallway that lead straight out of the house. They were both standing in front of the front door, except, His mother was leaning awkwardly on his father and her eyes were closed. She was asleep."Gregory, finally." his father slurred in a sweet yet passive tone. "I need you to go to the store, right down the road, we ran out of Coffee Creamer this morning. I'm disappointed in the fact you didn't already get us some, but I'll let that one slide. For now."
Gregory gulped at his last words; he didn't want to know what that meant. So, he carefully slipped past his father, scared that he might hit him or push him when he wasn't looking, and stopped near the door to slide on his shoes. They were white for the most part, with red straps and red sides with some blue lacing the top of the red on the sides of his shoes. They were worn down and dirty, if he lived with good parents, he would've gotten new shoes ages ago. But, then again, he didn't have good parents, not anymore.
Gregory looked at his father, he looked proud for some reason. "Atta boy," he cooed before stepping forward.
Gregory backed away, fear coursing through him. His reached forward and opened the front door before roughly grabbing Gregory and shoving him out the front door. Gregory jumped as he heard it slam behind him as well as the click of the lock. His father locked him out. Great. Gregory thought. Another night out on the streets again. He didn't even give me the money to get his stupid Coffee Creamer.
Gregory slowly walked out the gate that was attached to the fence that went around his house, he didn't care enough to shut and lock it back. He simply couldn't care less if someone broke in.

It had been a good two or three hours since Gregory had been kicked out, he had roamed farther than he ever had in his life, he honestly couldn't even remember the way back as he had been zoned out for the majority of the walk.
It was beginning to get dark, and he had no clue where to go for the night, so, he did what his brain told him to do, follow the bright lights up the road. Where there's bright lights, there's people. When there's people, there's food nearby.
I'm not going back, never. I can make it on my own.———————————————
It was really late by time he found a nice alleyway to stay in, he wasn't able to find any food, well anything worth eating anyway. He was currently staying in a nice alleyway, it was right next to a huge, brightly lit up building. It was all different of shades of Purples, pinks and blues. It's was lit up by bright neon lights and there was a huge sign out front which held the name of the place, although, Gregory didn't care enough to read it.
To be fair, it was late and he was tired. Besides, hunger pains were really crushing down on him. He had barely eaten in atleast three days, thanks to his parents.
Gregory pulled a newspaper closer over his body before closing his eyes, he just wanted to sleep, sleep away this horrid nightmare...{1191 words}
