Chapter 1

*Alex*
I woke up this morning and got dressed up for school. I went to put my make up on then realized the bruise that's on my jaw and remembered what happened last night.

*FLASHBACK*

"Fuck you" I screamed at my step dad
"THE FUCK YOU JUST SAID" he roared back and then punched my jaw
"Go up to your room, I don't want to see you down here you slut" he said
I just a scrabbled off the frowned and went up to my room

*END OF FLASHBACK*
My mom was out at that time, she had a meeting. She doesn't know what my step father Stephan does.

I just shook my head and went down stairs, I didn't even bother to cover it up.

"Morning mom" I said trying to sound as happy as possible
"Good morning sweetie" she replied with a smile but the smile soon faded when her eyes caught sight of the bruise that's on my jaw.

"Where did that bruise on your jaw come from?" She asked

"Oh nothing I just kind of got into a fight don't worry" I shrugged it off
"Honey what's up with you getting into fights every week? Is there any bullying happening at school??" She asked
"Oh god no mom nothing like that mom" I replied quickly to be honest I was pretty popular in school I know everyone and everyone knows me
"Ok honey I will let it slide this time but next time i see a bruise I we will have a talk young lady" she lectured

"Why a lecture?" Asked my step dad
"None of your business" I said with a smile
"Don't be rude Alex!" my mom scolded
"Yeah yeah mom I need to go or else I will be late, bye" I said to her before walking past Stephan, he was about to grab me from my wrist but I slapped his hand away "not today asshole" I whispered then left
"Bye honey stay safe" yelled my mom before i hopped into my car and drove off to school.
After I parked my car in the school parking I locked my car and headed to the entrance.

I finally spotted the red head I was looking for.
"Eva" I called her name and then her head turned to my direction and a grin spread across her face.
"Hi" she grinned
"Heyyyyyy" I said
"So what are you up to today since it's Friday?" Asked Eva
"Idk probably going shopping for the party jack is having next Friday?" I said and turned to look at her
"What about you?" I asked
"I was-" but she was cut of when her eyes flicked to my jaw
"What the actual fuck Alex" she said as she grabbed my jaw gently
"umm I just got into a fight nothing bad" I replied quickly
"God Alex how many fights do you have like every fucking you come with a bruise on a different part of your body!!"
"I'm sorry okay!!" I snapped at her
"Sorry I didn't mean to" she replied
"It's okay bitch I forgive you" I laughed then she soon joined me but then she stopped laughing and started glaring at someone behind my back
"what's wrong Eva?" I asked

"Look behind you" she replied
I looked behind me and it was that asshole Harry styles and his stupid friends they where walking towards us
"Oh look it's Evelina and Alex" said Harry and had that stupid smirk on his face
Eva's jaw clenched because she doesn't like it when people call her by her full name
"What do you want styles?" I asked

"Oh just walking by to check on my friends" he replied
"We're not your friends you dumb shit" I said

"You used to be a month ago when I used to date your little friend Evelina" said Niall
Eva's head snapped towards him a hint of sadness and anger in her eyes
"Why don't you just go fuck yourself you dumb blond" I said then I grabbed Eva's wrist and headed towards our first class which was Maths (we have the same schedule).
