Military Police

(Summer, Year 843)

The sun was shining over the Walled City of Shiganshina, birds soaring through the sun soaked sky of the hot summers day. The local market was filled with locals to the city and those from nearby towns and settlements alike, all wanting to have a look around while the weather was nice before the rainy Autumn season took hold of the region.

"Abel, come on, don't stray too far." One young woman tried to coax her younger sister, about six years her senior, from wondering too far into the crowd and getting lost, while she was actively looking out for her other sibling Dirk, who hd managed to wriggle free of her grasp momentarily within the bustling marketplace.

The young girl Abel puffed her cheeks out as her older sister took her by the hand and they moved through the crowd, looking for their brother together, weaving through all the bodies, young and old until the spotted Dirk talking to a soldier, one with the emblem of the Unicorn on his back alongside one with Roses flanking him on the other side.

"Dirk, there you are." The young woman intervened upon the conversation she had no clue or particular interest in at all. "Thank you so much Officer for keeping him safe, I'm his older sister, I'll get him out of your hair if that's alright with you."

"Hold on a minute." The member of the Military Police spoke to her, he like her had black hair, but he was taller than her, and he had a rifle over his shoulder but without the ODM Gear that the Garrison soldier was wearing. "You do realise that your brother just pickpocketed Hannes here." He referred to the member of the Garrison Regiment, who to be honest, was drunk, borderline collapsing drunk.

"What?" She gave Dirk a stern look of disappointment, but tried to assure the Officer that she'd deal with him appropriately. "Thank you for bringing this to my attention Officer, I'll deal with him when we get home later, but we really must be going at the moment."

"Stealing from a Soldier while on duty is punishable by at least thirty days in a prison cell, even if said soldier is... inebriated." The Officer gave her an unimpressed look. "I could lock him up and leave him stewing away for the next month if I wanted to."

"Come on Y/N just leave it." Hannes, the drunk Garrison member tried to get him to walk away from the little brat who had stolen from him. "Little rascal gave it back anyway, what's the point in bothering?"

"See, your friend has the right idea." The woman said, in a tone that Y/N did not like, at all, that passive aggressive tone, like she was threatening him. "Just leave it and we'll get out of your hair."

Y/N narrowed his eyes at the woman, something about her seemed off, the smart side of him told him to just leave it, yet the other side, that side was telling him to do something about her, to find out what he could before she could get away.

"Did you just threaten a Military Police Officer of the Law?" He asked her.

"I did no such thing." She denied, but her tone was off again, like she was trying to say something that held weight through her perspective, but held none through his. "Why don't you go drink with your Garrison buddy and forget we ever spoke?"

"...That's it." Y/N moved forwards to approach her, while Hannes looked confused, shrugged and went back to drinking with the other Garrison members on duty. "Turn around, hands behind your back. I'm arresting you for threatening a Military Police Officer, along with conspiracy to commit theft."

"What, get the hell off of me!" She shrieked, struggling against his grip, but no no avail, her hands had been bound before she could even comprehend what had happened. "Get your superior Officer now! I demand to speak with him this instant!"

"Sure, let me go get him." Y/N told her, waiting a few moments before speaking up again. "My name is Sergeant Ackerman. I am the ranking Officer on duty today, how may I help you?"
