Thomas on the other hand ghosted the only family he's known and will have to repair what has been broken.... What will be the outcome of this situation?

Take You In

Thomas yawned hearing his phone ring as it was 4 am in the morning. Thomas saw that it was his uncle Stripe. "Hello?" Thomas asked as he answered his phone. "Thomas? Mate are you sitting down?" Stripe asked. "Yeah, well laying down," Thomas said, covering his eyes. "Mate it's about your dad," Stripe said, trying not to break down. "Forget uncle Stripe I'm not calling him and I have a shift early in the morning," Thomas said, turning over on his side. "Mate your dad and Chilli are dead," Stripe said, now crying. "What!" Thomas said, now sitting up. "I'm sorry mate, I'm so sorry," Stripe said, still crying. Thomas then dropped his phone and started to tear up. "Mate are you there?" Stripe asked.

Thomas then picked his phone back up. "Yeah uncle stripe, I'm here," Thomas said, letting his tears fall. "The Funeral is in a few days mate and we need to talk about your parents' will," Stripe explained. "Okay I'll be on the next flight out," Thomas said, swallowing hard with pain in his throat. "Okay mate try to get some sleep," Stripe said with a sniff. "Yeah, I'll try," Thomas said before hanging up. Thomas then stood up from his bed not being able to sleep. Thomas walked over to his kitchen and made himself a drink. Thomas drank his drink and then started to pack for Brisbane. Thomas lived on the other side of Australia in Broome.

After thømas was done packing he grabbed another drink and then left his apartment. Thomas couldn't believe that his father was gone. Thomas was 18 when his first sister Bluey was born just as he left for college and then started to be a firefighter at the age of 21. Now at the age of 28 years old Thomas lived his life as a firefighter in Australia away from his family. Thomas sighed while driving to the airport thinking of his dad and stepmom. Emily Thomas's birth mother had died when he was 15 years old from cancer and lived with his dad and stepmom ever since. Bandit and Chilli hadn't planned on having kids together until Thomas was already of age to move out to go college.

Now at the airport, Thomas gets on the plane unsure of himself and what he would say to his sisters who are still pretty young from losing their parents. Thomas only sees his sisters on holidays and their birthdays but these past few years Thomas hasn't come around to see them. Thomas shuts his eyes and goes to sleep on the plane. "Sir?" The flight attendant said as she woke up Thomas. Thomas opened his eyes and looked at the flight attendant. "We're landing soon sir in Brisbane," she said with a soft smile. "Oh okay," Thømas said with a yawn. The flight attendant nodded before moving on. Thomas sighed and then looked out his window seeing Brisbane again.

As the plane landed, Thomas got off the plane and went to get his things and then rented a car. Thomas then drove to his family home where most of his family would be. Thomas parked his car in front of the house and sighed before going in. Thomas noticed his uncle's car and truck were there along with his grandparents' car from his dad's side. "Alright let's go," Thomas said as got out of his car and went up to his dad's house. Thomas then entered the house and saw his family and their friends all together for Bluey and Bingo. "What's he doing here!" Nine year old Bluey said with tears looking at her older brother. "Sweetie, he has a right to be here," Chris said to her granddaughter. Bluey teared up and then ran to her room with seven year old Bingo behind her.

Thomas sighed, shutting the door behind him. "Hey mate," Stripe said, walking up to his nephew and hugging him. "I'm glad your here mate," Stripe said while hugging his nephew. Everyone was talking to themselves while looking at Thomas. "Should I even be here?" Thomas whispered to his uncle. "Of course mate they were your parents too," Stripe said looking at his nephew. "Hey sweetie," Chris said, hugging her grandson. "Hey nana," Thomas said, hugging his grandmother. Chris teared up as she broke the hug. "You must be hungry," Chris said with a light smile. "Nana it's okay I'm fine," Thomas said looking at his grandmother. "Nonsense that airport food isn't good for a strong firefighter like you," Chris said as she went to the kitchen to make food.
