If Rex Lost His Memory, and Thought He Was Still Emmet

(An: I thought of this one myself. I just thought to myself, "Wouldn't it be weird but kinda cool if Rex lost his memory temporarily and thought he was Emmet?" So, I decided to write it in here in my official ask or dare and basically adventures book. So, I hope you enjoy this! Also, I erased Rex's memory of him ever becoming Rex for the chapter so. I'll give it back don't worry! And last thing, it's also erased to before Emmet became The Special.

Rex/Emmet opened is eyes, he thought he would be greeted to his Bricksburg apartment, but he wasn't. Except to a strange place. He got freaked out.

(An: In this chapter, we're gonna call Rex/Emmet, Remmex. Because I don't wanna keep doing "Rex/Emmet" anymore. And yes, I know it's one of the ship names for Rex x Emmet, and also yes I strongly dislike that ship. It's fine if any of you ship it, I just don't like it myself.)

Remmex: What the- Where am I?! *Looks around* This isn't my apartment... *Runs hand through hair* And why is my hair fluffed out?

(Meanwhile in the kitchen)

Purple: *Sips coffee* Ah, that's good stuff.

Emmet: *Walks into the kitchen* Hey Purple! Have you seen Rex? It's time for one of our daily hang out sessions.

Purple: Um, no. I think he's still asleep.

Emmet: *Groans* He needs to stop sleeping in. Like, what if the house caught fire and he was asleep in the middle of it? He would burn up!

Purple: Eh, I don't know about that. Because of how tough his skin is, it would feel like a mosquito bite to him.

Emmet: You're probably right, but he does need to wake up soon.

(As if on cue)

Remmex: *Runs into kitchen*

Purple: Speak of the devil, he's awake.

Emmet: Rex! I've been waiting for you to wake up!

Remmex: Um, who's, "Rex"? And why do you look like me?

(Purple and Emmet got confused)

Purple: Is there somethin' wrong with you? You don't usually talk like Emmet.

Remmex: But I am Emmet, why wouldn't I talk like me?

(Emmet and Purple just looked at each other)

Emmet: Uh, 'cause it's a reminder of who you were? And you don't like who you were... because it's painful?

Remmex: *Gets confused* Who I once was? What does that mean?

Purple: I think he got hit upside the head too hard. His brain is scrambled.

Author: *Appears out of nowhere* No, I just erased his memory. All he remembers is being the average, everyday guy he once was so long ago.

Emmet: Wait, so, it's like he remembers being me before the Kragle thing?

Author: Exactly.

Purple: Oh no, is this another challenge thing?

Author: Maybeeee. Just deal with him, and give the readers a good show. I'll give back his memory when I decide the challenge is done. Oki, bye! *Disappears*

Unikitty: *Hops into the kitchen* Hiiiii! What are you all up to?

Remmex: A pink kitty with a horn? That's... weird...

Unikitty: What's up with Rex?

Remmex: Who in the world is "Rex"?!

Purple: The author took away his memory. All he knows is he's Emmet before he became The Special.
