Brandi snuck over to Emily L.'s house to see what was keeping her from her friends. She broke into her window and climbed in. she looked all around her room, destroying it. she was about to give up when she saw something in the corner of her eye. It was a blue origami egg sitting on an origami fire. It was adorable and she took it out of the room to show the rest of the group.

It is an example of a BAD IDEA.
She took it to school the next day and showed everyone the egg. All of the people who were paper people became mindless zombies like Emily. They all started to take care of the egg and the others they had till they all hatched.
All of 8 eggs hatched (Emily L. had two eggs) at the same time. 4 boys and 4 girls. All tiny, tiny paper cranes. The switch turned off in all of them turned off and they became normal again.
All of the once paper people took care of them for the rest of the year while still finding time for school and friends.
Brandi and the others yelled at them for ignoring them but once they saw how cute the baby cranes they saw why their friends were gone. All took on the raising of the cranes.
Brandi got one of the girls, Maleficent, which she shared with Molly. They raised their crane good, because molly didn't want to be a paper person again but Brandi wanted her too. They fought a lot about it a lot but Molly won each time. Their crane grew up to be a fine little crane with parent issues and went to collage to be an artist and to get away from her 'parents'.
This all happened in a year by the way. The baby cranes grew up quickly.
