Time to Go Home

I woke up the next morning with my back killing me. The couch wasn't the best place to sleep, and it absolutely sucked. Me and my father switched sleeping spots last night which I regret deeply now.

"Ouch..." I groaned and looked around. No one was up, and everything was dead silent. Wow, this was the first time I was the first one up in the house.

I got off of the uncomfortable couch that we didn't have anymore in the present, and decided to wake everyone up because it was 9 o'clock already. I wonder why everyone slept in late.

As I climbed up the steps, someone was at the top wanting to come down, but they stopped when they saw me. I stopped as well. The person on top of the stairs was Nokia, still in her dark pink pajamas.

"I was just about to wake you up," she whispered.

"Same here."

"I wanted to talk to you about something important while we are the only ones up."

I nodded, and she tiptoed down the steps. She met me at the bottom, and dragged me to the kitchen.

"It's about your father," she said a bit louder, but still in a whispered tone.

"What about him? I know he's love struck again. What do we do?"

"We need to let him come to his senses, but I'm afraid he can't do that by himself. He needs to realize that we can't stay here forever," she opened the fridge, and got out the 2% milk.

"How are we going to do that?"

She looked at me with her your an idiot look, and sighed.

"I thought you would already know. Use your brain for once. We convince him!."
She got out two glasses, and poured us both some milk.

"Well I'm really bad at that. Hopefully your doing all the work."
She slammed the milk jug down slightly, making droplets splatter all over the table.
"Um, you do realize you forgot to put the cap back on?"

"I can't persuade all by myself! You'll have to help me Hiro. Or else we'll never convince your father to leave this place. And I know I forgot to put the cap back on!" She screwed the cap back on the milk, and put it back in the fridge.
I sighed, and took a huge gulp out of my glass.

"Fine, I'll help."

"Thank you Hiro."

Suddenly I heard someone come down the stairs, and they walked into the kitchen. It was my father.

"Morning," Nokia said awkwardly.

"Yep, we totally just weren't talking about you," I thought.
My father yawned, and opened the fridge.

"Mornin'...." He got out the milk too, and sighed.
"You guys didn't leave enough milk for me to have an Edward sized, measuring cup full of cereal."

Nokia gave me a confused look, but I just waved her away. She seemed to just go with it after that. He sighed as he got out a regular bowl, and poured some Fruit Loops in it.

"We, um, actually we wanted to talk to you dad," I managed to say. I was terrified for some reason.

"Alright, what is it?" He poured in some milk, put everything back in its spot, and got out a spoon.

"It's about mom... We need to leave today. We can't stay forever."

After I said that, I could feel him staring at me, but I didn't look at him. Nokia cleared her throat.

"We need to leave as soon as possible."

"But why? Everything is perfect here!"

"We can't stay! Kiro's mom won't want Hiro to stay at her place forever. He'll come back, and when he sees Hiro it will create chaos!" Nokia snapped.
My father gave an agitated sigh.
