The bus stop argument

I was headed to the bus stop with my phone in hand and headphones in. I was headed to my bus to go to school  in the freezing winter cold, with my flowing light cyan dyed hair and hazel nut eyes. I was wearing a light grey hoodie, black fishnets ,and a red and black plaid skirt. I then looked around, spotting Harley Norway, the way she just dates girls to hurt them, I don't like that, you date them if you like them, not to hurt their feelings.

I used to always have a crush on her, with her red hair, dark green eyes, softball jersey, with her being the captain and all. She was rich and had a nice family. I was on my phone as always, forgetting that I was crossing the street. But Harley noticed, and then pushed me onto the sidewalk. "You're an idiot Amber," Harley exclaimed to me. "Thanks stupid" I mumbled back to her "Shut up idiot that's why your mom kicked you out" I  looked her straight in the eyes as she said that. "At least I have one." Before I got onto the bus, I turned back. Harley had looked starstruck by what I had said, and to be honest, I loved that look in her eyes, she looked hurt and I loved it.

"Amber, what's wrong with you?" my best friend, Josh asked. "What? Not like I'm wrong." Amber replied quietly. " I know she can say mean things, but I don't think you know why." Josh told her.  "Look, tell me what happened with her life that's worse than mine ."  We looked at each other simultaneously , "Fine, I'll apologize to her."  After we strolled into class, I creeped in with my head down. I looked at my phone the time: 7:30am, I thought to myself, 'just 7 for hours to go,' And when I tell you those were the most slowest hours of my life, I meant it, I didn't do any work, I just listened to music on my phone like the other kids did that usually sat in the back, no one truly did their homework, only the kids who have extreme amount of pressure, from their families, did their work. My family don't really care what I do, as long as I'm alive, they don't care.

After that class, Josh and I marched out of class, he humming to his music and I, drawing while I was going to study hall for my free block, because, the only friend I had, has band this block, and I should have joined the art club, but I'm too antisocial for that. When I arrived, Harley was there, I hated her so much, I couldn't stand her.

What was worse was that she was in my seat, "Hey, Harley, can you get out of my seat?" I asked politely, she shook her head no, "Why not?" I replied to the head movement, "Because I got here first, winners keepers," she added a sassy remark to what I said, that really ticked me off. "Look, just get out of my seat, Harley," she again shook her head, "Oh my freaking god, let me sit in my dang seat!" That's when she got up, "I just wanted to see you outburst," I scoffed in shame for her, before sitting down and putting my notebook on the table, "Bye outcast," she mocked my titled, well, It's a negative title, but I like it, just because I like to be alone. "Whatever." She groaned before walking away.

I resumed where I was in my drawing, the skull, don't know if anyone was watching but who cares? I liked drawing and I hoped to have a career in it. As I started drawing, Kai came in, my female best friend "Hey Amber! What's up?" she asked before sitting next to me, "Just got peeved off by Harley so, I'm great," I answered sarcastically, "But anyways, aren't you in band class right now?" she nodded her head, "Yeah, I just don't wanna go." I mouthed the word 'Oh' before going back to my drawing, "What ya making now my little artist?" she said smiling, that smile was the most intoxicating part of her, and everyone knew it.

Besides her outfit today, ripped black jeans, white vans, a black tee shirt, with a purple and black flame sweater and a pants chain, and a few necklaces. Her smile was only one of her features that I loved, the second one, her brown, silky smooth hair, it was in a bun today, with her undercut, but I loved it so much.

For no absolute reason, I kissed her, I stared at her lips ever since 9th grade and now I actually kissed her, and to my surprise, she kissed back, hands on my thigh, my hand placed gently on her chest. I broke the kiss and looked at her "Happy birthday, by the way," I told her and smiled, she nodded as a thank you, "And thanks for my first kiss," I added, "You're welcome, I wanted to do that for a while," that's when I noticed, Harley, behind her. Look, I know I shouldn't have done this, but I did, I told her "Go back to wherever you came from, oh wait, you can't, she's dead." she looked like she was going into tears, not knowing what to do, she then ran out, and texted me " If you need me, wanna see me , you better hurry cause I'm leaving soon." I recognized those lyrics "Sorry can't save me now," I replied with a sigh before going after her, "I have to go Kai."

I said before she nodded, I grabbed my stuff and hurried after Harley "Look Harley i'm sorry," I apologized, "It's okay" she replied with a sad smile. Then, she walked away,  wiping her eyes, and headed into the bathroom. That's when I walked back to class, Harley on the other hand, stayed in the bathroom till math class, want me to tell you what she was doing? She was crying, because I gave her a flashback. I didn't mean to, but I did, and somehow, she thanked me for it. She loved me for how sassy I was, how disrespectful I was but she never showed it, it was like a game between lovers, or maybe enemies, probably both? No one understands her like I do, well, did but I'm still there for her in spirit if it doesn't seem I'm there for her, I like the way we argue, it's enjoyable.
