Cherry's Pov
Seeing him across the room always made my heat race. Turning to look at him and seeing him already looking at me makes me turn back around acting like nothing happened. All these stares and looks he's giving me has gave me mixed signals. "Does he like me?" "Of course not. Why would he like me?"
That was what I thought when he suddenly pointed at me as being the prettiest person in the room. He could've picked anyone else. One of the girls that are attached to him by the hips but no me? How is that possible I've never talked to him let alone be noticed by him.
"Joe~ why him?" whined one of the girls 'i'm right here you know.' He chuckled saying "yeah i know, it was a joke"
Oh it was a joke. I should have known. I practically felt my world crashing down, he had thought of me as a joke. "Why would would he think that" I chuckled at my stupidity. I felt embarrassed thinking I had a chance with him, thinking he was being serious about me, thinking about how I would be nothing more to him.
To stop myself from crying and everyone from witnessing it I had put my head down just until everyone had left but i soon fell asleep.
I woke up to gentle strokes on my head and steady breathing. I was afraid, terrified who was touching my head? I moved a bit trying to get the hand off and I could hear the person's breath hitch. Feeling the hand wasn't on my head anymore I lifted my head just to see someone I didn't want to see.
Joe. The hell is he doing?
"I didn't mean to wake you up I'm sorry." he scratched his neck in embarrassment. "I just wanted to say sorry but you looked so cute asleep."
I looked cute? Huh what's he planning now? I swear if he's messing with me again I'll beat his ass. Yeah, no I can't do that but I'll fuck him up thats for sure.
The silence was loud. Both of us were waiting for the other to speak. It started getting suffocating and I just couldn't handle it anymore.
"What do you want?" I sighed. "I just wanted to tell you something." muttered Joe as he tried not to slip on his words. "Well go on I don't have much time." I lied trying to get out of this awkward situation. "I really like you. Ever since the first time I lay eyes on you. I just didn't have enough courage to say anything and I didn't want anyone especially YOU knowing." he sighed and it seemed like it has been on his mind and has been meaning to get it out.
I was beyond excited. HOW COULD I NOT? JOE JUST CONFESSED TO ME!? I was so excited that I could just die right now right here. But its too good to be true like didn't he just called me pretty as a joke just to be embarrassed in front of everyone just an hour ago?
"You're kidding." i replied trying not to give in. "No i'm not you've got to believe me." he pleaded. 'what can i do to make you believe me'
I thought for a minute before saying "you could kiss me" I regretted saying that.
I could see him go beet red and i just shook it off by saying "Haha funny joke isn't it? I was joke-"
I felt lips on mine. Joe's lips. He was kissing me as if he wasn't sure like he was holding back but to let him know I wanted this too I leaned in to make sure he knew. Knew that I wanted this as much as he wanted it.
