"Good heavens. The star Pelusa... it's gone supernova!" Dr. Doppler shouts as everyone feels force against the ship and sees a star in the distance turning into a supernova.
"Evasive action Mr. Turnbuckle!" Amelia shouts as she is running with Alexis.
"All hands fasten your lifelines!" Mr. Arrow shouts as everyone scrambles to do as he says.
"The sails! Mr. Arrow-" Alexis then gets cut off by Mr. Arrow as she sees things hit the sails.
"On it Alexis! Secure those sails!" Mr. Arrow shouts as people work to protect the sails and make it safely through the explosion of the star.
"This isn't good." Alexis says as she and the others see the star is going into a black hole.
"lt's devolving into a... a black hole!" Dr. Doppler shouts in alarm.
"We're being pulled in!" A creature shouts as he is knocked away from the steering wheel.
"No you don't. Blast these waves! They're so deucedly erratic!" Amelia says as she runs over to the wheel as waves hit the ship.
"No Captain. They're not erratic at all. There'll be one more in precisely 47.2 seconds. Followed by the biggest magilla of them all!" Dr. Doppler shouts.
"What!?" Alexis asks in alarm.
"No Alexis that's it. Of course! Brilliant, Doctor! We'll ride that last magilla out of here." Amelia says as she smiles.
"All sails secured Captain!" Mr. Arrow shouts.
"Good man! Now release them immediately!" Amelia shouts.
"Aye Captain. You heard her men. Unfurl those sails!" Mr. Arrow shouts as everyone gets to work on his commands.
"Jim! Make sure everyone's lifelines are secure and tight!" Alexis shouts as she sees Jim.
"On it!" Jim shouts as he runs off and does as told before Amelia gets knocked away from the wheel.
"Captain. The last wave! Here it comes!" Dr. Doppler shouts.
"Hold on to your lifelines gents! lt's gonna be a bumpy ride!" Amelia shouts as everyone holds on before making it through the wave safely.
"Captain! That- oh my goodness. That was- that was absolutely- that was the most-" Dr. Doppler then gets cut off by Amelia.
"Oh tish-tosh. Actually Doctor... your astronomical advice was most helpful. Well l must congratulate you Mr. Silver. lt seems your cabin boy... did a bang-up job with those lifelines." Amelia says as Alexis smiles seeing her talking with Dr. Doppler as Amelia then goes down the stairs to the crew.
"Everyone looks accounted for Mr. Arrow." Alexis says as she looks at everyone before the group hears no response.
"Mr. Arrow?" Amelia asks.
"l'm afraid Mr. Arrow has been lost. His lifeline was not secured." Scroop says as he comes over with Mr. Arrow's hat.
"What?" Alexis asks in shock.
"No l checked them all. l- l did. l checked them all. They were secure. l swear." Jim says as everyone looks at him.
"Mr. Arrow was a... Ahem. Fine spacer... finer than most of us could ever hope to be... but he knew the risks as do we all. Resume your posts. We carry on." Amelia says as she and Alexis walk off.
